  1. Fixed it for you.
  2. Here's more proof of a hoax. http://bigfootfieldguide.blogspot.com/2017/03/hoaxer-busted.html
  3. It was pointed out in the very first post that the little creature and the big creature have the same pose. Grandpa must have had photo manipulation skills... If one is so obviously fake, why should we care about any of the others? answer...we shouldn't. This is the large creature scaled down and placed next to the small creature.
  4. In just about every year, the number of sightings goes up from beginning of the year to the end, with a sharp drop off every Winter to start again. How do all these "hoaxers" manage to keep that trend going for so many years? My chart is only BFRO reports in the BFRO era, and you can see that trend in most years. Of course more people get out in the spring, summer, and fall.
  5. Here's the missing sketch by Sybilla Irwin for that report. The BFRO site is missing many of their report images now.
  6. I'm pretty much restricted by non-disclosure agreements from two separate groups (BFRO and SRA). Info is shared on forums involving ONLY the people that were in attendance. I can 'vaguely' share my experiences and evidence. I have to be careful not to disclose specific locations or personal info about who I was with. At this point there are very few places I'd go squatching that one of these two groups didn't show me. We came VERY close to having my son's 2014 expedition encounter widely shared on "Finding Bigfoot", but the show producers decided against it. We were scheduled to shoot during a Saturday afternoon but the cast and crew left the day before. Evidently they already had enough footage for the show. It also would have been a difficult re-enactment to film. It was not a very good 'made for tv' encounter.
  7. Updated SSR Database numbers - 1 month later Georgia, North Carolina, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Florida are all DONE plus Nova Scotia (which only had 2 reports). Alaska was and is basically done, but I still have 13 AK reports to check for accuracy. (13) BFRO reports left to classify: 596 (400 in US and 196 in Canada) California (190) Oregon (164) South Carolina (24) Louisiana (22) BC (82) AB (32) MB (23) ON (41) NB (6) QC (3) SK (6) YT (3)
  8. probably Seneca IL. Search Grundy, La Salle, & Kendall Counties (I love our new search capabilities!)
  9. I just added them up 920 total BFRO reports left to classify, and probably many more to edit and correct. At this point I'm pretty much only working on BFRO reports. Once finished we move on to other databases like John Green's. We need it set up so we can link each report though. In Oregon (160?), California (190), and Florida (106) alone there are hundreds of BFRO reports left to classify. Another 161 or so (combined) in Georgia (24), South Carolina (29), North Carolina (41), West Virginia (29), Louisiana (25), and New Hampshire (13?). Then there will be Alaska (22?) and all of Canada (290?), places I haven't even looked at yet. There's definitely a light at the end of the long tunnel now, but are still probable months from being done. You're paying? Should I send a bill? I already had secret plans to put Washington State into my spreadsheet so I can see what's missing (maybe 100+)
  10. Since I don't think "eating' was an animal activity actually involved in the Fulton County story, I have since corrected the SSR entry. He was probably hunting with a slug barrel on his shotgun and the investigator may have just used the wrong term. There's another huge inconsistency with that report though. Searcy Arkansas (the town) is NOT in Searcy County as the new report suggests. It's in White County. I'd like to know where it really (allegedly) happened so we can classify it correctly. I know people that know the investigator... I may try to get some clarification.
  11. Locations I know, but I can't remember dates and times. I've never had an encounter like this though so it's hard to judge. I keep notes and audio so I can look things up when I need to. Here are the pictures that are missing form the BFRO report: It IS classified in the SSR database - and was scored a 5 as Gigantor mentioned. 12. A search for witness "driving" and "food gathering" yields more results than "'road crossing" and "food gathering". Not every subject seen by drivers actually crosses the road. 13. These 14 BFRO reports have "Road Crossing" and "Food Gathering" in common. I have not determined how many include Road Kill, but it wouldn't take too much effort to look through them. Hopefully the sighting links are still good. 14. While I can agree with the sentiment that holding onto limiting beliefs can inhibit one's ability to learn, I reluctantly have to point out that saying "EVERYONE digs their heels in to hold their own personal beliefs, and no one learns a thing" seems like an exaggeration. I don't believe that you know EVERYONE well enough to make such a definitive statement. It seems to me that somebody so careful to only present "accurate information" would not say something that is almost certainly false. Personally, I have learned a lot here by releasing many of my personal beliefs so there is at least one person less than 'everyone' digging in their heels and at least one more than 'no one' that has learned something. I do realize of course that just because I said it doesn't mean all who read it will believe me. I'll try not to get too upset if that happens. Just a suggestion... maybe sharing pictures of this majestic 7' long animal might add to your credibility here. I'd love to see some of them.
  15. I've noticed that some reports don't show up on the BFRO site for a very long time. This New Jersey report (Link) happened in 2005, was investigated in 2006. It was not made public until July of 2016. The only way I can think of to explain that sort of delay, if intentional, is that the BFRO was trying to keep the area secret. Maybe they are trying to keep your sighting location under wraps. Admittedly, it could also just be poor follow through. We have to remember the investigators are doing this as a hobby, not a career. You can tell when you read through reports that some investigators are more thorough than others. As somebody who enters a lot of reports in the BFF SSR database, I certainly agree that every investigator should follow a checklist as suggested by hiflier above. It's a very good idea. I think that most newer BFRO reports seem a lot more thorough than some from the early days of the BFRO. They seem to have gotten better along the way.
