Clearing roads today on ranch. I found top of a skull. I think I had a cow abort. But maybe it’s a yearling whitetail. It’s small.

Gigantor -- is that fog typical or an anomaly?

It was rainy again Thursday, the fog was very thick.

Gigantor....I love your vehicle (awesome Jeep) and I love where you sasquatch. Amazing!! To me, all of that adds up to a place where fewer humans want to be and more opportunity exists.  Consider yourself lucky and enjoy being out there sasquatching. Share the adventure!

Wyatt and I went in behind lake Ellen yesterday. Just got back. Found a suggestive track but no toes, and then we found a hunting blind, hay and salt back in there. Probably bow hunters in December. The blind was smashed..... too bad. Lots of Moose sign too. Also found a ancient face cut that they never came back to.

Yesterday was pretty nice. Today we had a lot of rain and hail. The roof top tent did a good job keeping us dry and warm.

Glad to see that you can get out.    That's gotta feel good.    Nothin' like fresh air and a good rifle in your hand!!

The roof top tent idea has some appeal but a problem in my situation.   It's a great solo solution but I would not trust my GF's balance or coordination on a ladder.    I'm not sure the steps up into a camper would be that much better and I haven't seen a trailer that'd go the places I want to camp.   Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.  It .. sucks.  :(

Seneca Rocks?

You are right near my old stomping grounds.  I grew up in Staunton, VA and went to college in Harrisonburg...just a couple of hours away from that area.

Good area to look for Sasquatch in...The Appalachians are a strange strange place...

"It's springtime in Alaska, and it's forty below........."

A pair of trumpeter swans flew over my camp headed north, though......

I caught three pike. They fileted out 2.5 lbs of meat. It was a 36 mile snowmobile trip, and I feel it. I'm getting a bit old for this silliness.

I return home to news that ADFG closed all spring bear hunting due to coronavirus.  Spring bear hunting is when I don't see anybody. I could understand closing all hunts that require commercial services, but why residents hunting our own backyards? I'll be registering my complaint along with thousands of other hunters.........

That is a magnificent view. Looks like it could be perfect for squatching.  Access to water, ability to retreat to mountains, lots of forest and cover.

Thanks for sharing.

Take a look at the Alpine Expedition Trailer.     That is a hard sided fold down A frame.  I have one and it is especially designed for off road camping.      Sits very high with a lot of ground clearance.         .    Mine weighs about 2050 lbs and can be pulled by small trucks or even my Subaru Outback could pull it.      It has a stove,  forced air heater,   flush casette toilet,  shower,   refrigerator and air conditioner.    Very easy to pull.      You need AC power for the air conditioner but without that a 100 watt solar panel can keep the thing powered indefinitely using propane fuel.   I have two 20 lb propane bottles on it.

My cousin fell out of her ex's when she went to go to the washroom in the middle of the night. Luckily she really only bruised her pride

I recently put a 3" lift on my tent trailer I've had for years now. I hit a big rock and tweeked the axle a while back. My intention is to put some taller tires on it now. But you should see some of the places I've gotten it in and out of. I've posted a picture of it somewhere here previously before the lift.

The only upgrade on mine are the tires and spare. The originals were like most: Type "C" for wt. of 3480lbs @ 50psi with a maximum highway speed of 65mph. The upgrade to type "D" gave me 3800 lbs @ 60psi with a maximum speed of 81mph. It means I can actually pass someone at 70mph and still have a safe headroom on my max speed. I won't be driving at 81mph- no way- but it's a good feeling to know I still have a cushion when passing slower rigs.

The point is, I could go to 70 on the original tires for a brief time on tires that were already warm but always thought it was risking a blowout. Now, if I wish, I could cruise at 70, be nearly stress free, and still have plenty of speed capacity to pass someone at 75. When driving out West it helps to keep me from being to much of a hazard on a highway with a posted speed of 75-80. Still gotta watch for the crosswinds, though, I doubt I'll be going anywhere soon because of the you-know-what.

My poor truck is on its last legs and I am in the process of retiring it.

It has served me well, hut it needs way too much work now.

Need to fix up my utility trailer so that I can tow my atv
