.........Think about it, would you touch us if you were them?..........

I certainly wouldn't fool with me. Hell, I don't even like myself. I most definitely don't like most men.

But homo sapien women? Under caveman rules and culture, you bet I would. I'm even described as quite cavemanish by many of both genders. A young woman or two backpacking through my territory would most definitely get some attention, even if I didn't reveal myself.

Children? Again, yes. I absolutely love watching children play. It's very entertaining.

From the back yes, brown hair/fur, and maybe six and half feet tall. I suspect the northwestern ones are bigger, but I saw the speed and silence they can do. It's a little disturbing.

You live on the east coast then? Southeast coast  or New England ? You mentioned the diver in MA who claims to have been swallowed by a whale so New England ?

Massachusetts  maybe because you said you weren't armed   ?  Reason I ask is you are one of the very very few who have said they have seen a bigfoot in New England if you do live in this region .

The assets of a sasquatch, taken as a whole, are a complete mismatch for a human interloper.  I am confident that when in the woods I could be taken any second that a sasquatch desires in spite of awareness or preparation on my part.

I am also confident they know if a little, hairless one is harmed, killed, or otherwise goes missing, hundreds more will come with their boomsticks. With the exception of a rogue sasquatch, why would they knowingly bring that upon themselves?

Everything @wiiawiwb said.

AND I think they are very curious about us, just as we are about them. As with everyone, we are all individual, most good, some bad, with the same basic drives and unique personalities. Who knows?

In my very first encounter back in 2012, I interrupted two of them hunting, via whistles, while sitting in my van waiting for my kid around 11pm, at a summer camp out in the woods in Oregon. I was star gazing with my binoculars from the far end of the parking lot, and heard whistles in the woods beyond me. So, after a while I got curious and whistled back. They stopped what they were doing and traded whistles with me, and moved in closer, triangulating on my location, while the deer ran past me right towards the biggest concentration of humans it could find (a kid's summer camp/towards the big bonfire area). I had no idea what was going on then, but NOW I know it was a very typical interaction. They whistled and on the second occassion, a few days later, traded knocks with me and zapped me. When they got bored, they/it left. Two the first time, one the second time (as far as I know).

I've always kind of wondered if I should have tipped the camp off about them. But, the camp has been there for years and I've never heard anyone mention anything about their bigfoot neighbors...so... I said nothing. Wasn't sure they'd believe me any how, and didn't want to sound like a nut. Didn't want to endanger the bigfoots either, if they were just minding their own business (which sounds like it). IDK.

When a friend and I went back to the same area, behind the camp, to explore and we were "escorted out". We were actually trespassing way back behind the camp, LOL. And we must have been in their territory, at around dusk. It was scary. Never saw a thing, but the bushes and a tree shook, and there was huffing and chuffing sounds and other undescribeable sounds. When darkness fell, we skedaddled quickly and it made a sound behind us as we crossed the bridge back to our car. Never could quite figure out if it was a chest thump or a wood knock or a stick on wood. Anyway, a big boom right behind us maybe 100 yards. Scared the daylights out of us.

Would love to hear it again knowing what I know now. Back then I knew nothing, but it was the start of my journey.

Since then, I've been back there dozens of times. I've seen BIG cougar tracks and the small shrubbery and brush has grown from weeds to like 10 feet tall and it's impossible to see through... so I've stayed out. Too dangerous now.

I really do do not like to use the word weapon. Since I had an instructor once told me that weapon means mass destruction.

When I was a security policeman in the Air Force, you would bring a ton of havoc down upon you if you called your M-16 a gun instead of a weapon.

I'm referring to Northern New England and the diver wasn't swallowed, He got spit out, but still..... apparently a humpback's throat is too small to swallow a person.

Cool

I'm glad to hear you spotted one in Northern New England . We tried for a couple of years searching and never found any real strong evidence of them being here.

We found stick structures that looked odd but never any real solid tracks where I could say that's a bigfoot track.

Could be a lot of reasons for them to not want to touch us. Everything from a learned behavior that doing so will bring more humans to an area either in the form of hunters, onlookers, or whatnot.  Could be because humans tend to react poorly, spook, and go into fight or flight mode.

Could possibly be that something in our shared past caused damage to their numbers. It is well documented that Europeans brought new diseases with them to the Americas which devastated the population of indigenous people. Humans and chimps are known to share diseases. What if that event brought an illness to the Bigfoot population and killed off enough that it was deemed worthwhile to avoid humans?

We don't know, we just know that they tend to avoid touching us and realistically considering their size that might be for the best.

I have to ask you but are you 100% sure it was a Bigfoot  and not something else ? There's a very good reason I'm asking you this .

Thanks

What I saw got up and ran on two legs quite fast, not bear, not a guy in a suit. I'm pretty sure of what I saw.

Oh yeah, I still call every firearm a weapon or a firearm unless it's a toy gun. Everytime I hear someone call them guns in public I start looking around corners for a smoky hat and a knife hand to just suddenly appear to strike someone down 😆

I don't really like calling them weapons because the word isn't descriptive enough. Anything from a fist to a stick to a rope to a chemical to a nuclear bomb can be a weapon, and pretty much everything in between. In the most basic definition of "gun", rifles, shotguns, and handguns are indeed lumped with cannons, artillery pieces, and anything else with a barrel which launches a projectile that doesn't move under its own power as "guns". I tend to call my rifles "rifles", my shotguns "shotguns", and my handguns "sidearms". Those terms are almost always understood accurately.
