“Homo bodoensis lived in Africa during the early Middle Pleistocene, around 500,000 years ago, and was the direct ancestor of the Homo sapiens lineage; however, this species was not the most recent common ancestor of Eurasian (Neanderthals and Denisovans) and African (Homo sapiens) hominins.”

I happened upon this PhD student in I believe Anthropology on Youtube from a completely different subject.  She is Gutsick Gibbon, I challenge you to find a more enthusiastic speaker of Anthropology topics and evolution in general.  She is a very talented speaker and has an informative video about Homo bodoensis.  She has plenty of talks on human evolution.
