This brings up an interesting point I haven't considered: How far does a Bigfoot travel in a given day? What is the expected maximum range in a given day? Fire or not, maybe Bigfoot is only traveling 3 miles on foot. Maybe 20. That number- whatever it is- detemrines everything. If there is a big-time fire, can a walking animal essentially escape its effects in a short distance? Would 2 or 3 miles away be enough? Would it take 10? Once bigfoot moves to a safer area it would probably put the fire behind him and move on like business as usual. Then if the fire approached again would alter its behavior set on new circumstances. How far can Bigfoot travel in a day? ------------------------- This from the movie The Fugitive regarding a man on foot: “Our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground, barring injuries, is 4 miles per hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive’s name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him.” -------------------------- Deer, Horses, Fox, and so on have 4 legs and can likely cover a heck of a lot of territory in a day (and night travel is possible). I'm guessing Bigfoot has a much more limited in range.

Caves, rivers, and lakes (if available) would be a source of refuge I would think.
  7. So KC is not normally what comes to mind when I think of prime BF real estate. To what do you attribute the multiple number of sightings in the area? While urban BF is not unheard of, it does seem to be fairly rare. Just curious. Also, do you mind providing a few more details on some of the incidents? That latest sighting in Independence is smack dab in the the center of a residential area and seems highly improbable, but I would love to know more about it. Thanks!

They don't necessarily evacuate the area. I have 2(past) local reports of fire crews on night shift being "shadowed" by BFs as they go to / from the firelines on foot. I wasn't able to follow up on either report. A friend did with one. I didn't see anything that raised any red flags however.

Any fire like this is horrible. I imagine a terrible fire would drive many animals toward safety and Bigfoot would be no exception. It's still a numbers game. 10,000 Deer on the move are easier to notice than 4 Sasquatch.
  13. A quiet mushroom hunt on the Oregon Coast. A terrifying scream in the forests above Discovery Bay. Four thunderous whoops outside a tent in the middle of the night near Port Townsend. In this unforgettable conversation, Austin Aretakis shares a series of firsthand encounters that changed the way he views the wilderness forever. Austin recounts his earliest unexplained experience near Floras Lake before taking us deep into one of the closest Sasquatch encounters ever featured on Bigfoot Society. While camping alone near Fort Townsend Historical State Park, something massive approached his hidden campsite, circled his tent, responded with powerful vocalizations, and left behind physical evidence the following morning. The conversation also explores strange vocalizations, possible mimicry, wilderness survival, natural farming, faith, and the lifelong impact these experiences have had on Austin's search for answers. Locations featured include: • Floras Lake, Oregon • Port Orford, Oregon • Rogue River, Oregon • Discovery Bay, Washington • Port Townsend, Washington • Fort Townsend Historical State Park If you've ever wondered what it would be like to hear something enormous moving through the darkness just outside your tent, this is an episode you won't want to miss. 📖 Follow Jeremiah's cancer health updates here: https://www.caringbridge.org/site/569ef3d3-68be-11f1-8790-97fdfd2bbc64 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? In theory Sasquatch's should be moving around A LOT and there should be an increase in sightings maybe.
  17. As a bigfoot investigator, I've taken a number of Bigfoot sighting reports in and around the KC area in the past few years. Most have been near the Missouri River near Sugar Creek, Independence, and east at the Burr Oak woods conservation area. There was also a mothman sighting at Burr Oak Woods. The most recent Bigfoot sighting occured in the city in Independence when a large grey bigfoot was seen near 23rd and Pearl street at dusk. If you have had a sighting in this region, please let me know, as I would like to include it in an upcoming book on the subject.

This is a really good read (sorry, listen) in spite of the scary headline chosen by the video-makers. If the video-makers are being honest, none of the voiceover or research is generated by AI. It's not hard to overlay reported Bigfoot behavior with some of the information in the video.
  20. Tonight’s guest, Nick Pool, grew up on a farm in the hills of western Kentucky. As a kid, one of the things he looked forward to most was finally being old enough to deer hunt with his father and brother. His father had promised him that when he turned 11, he'd be old enough to join them. Bright and early on the second day of deer season, shortly after Nick's 11th birthday, his father walked him out to a tree stand Nick had built in a large section of woods near the family farm. Hidden within those woods was a secluded field, making it an ideal place to hunt. Nick settled into his stand before sunrise, and not long after the sun came up, he began hearing strange sounds. Immediately on high alert, he scanned the woods, trying to figure out what was making them. It wasn't long before he found out—and what he saw left him in complete shock. Standing before him was a 9-foot-tall Sasquatch! That incredible encounter wasn't the only experience Nick had with the family of Sasquatch that lived in the woods surrounding his family's farm. Over the years, he had many more encounters with them and eventually came to enjoy seeing them. Years later, however, he had a very different kind of experience—one involving another undocumented creature he encountered on a lonely back road. Unlike his Sasquatch encounters, this one wasn't enjoyable at all. In fact, that encounter is one of the reasons why Nick refuses to be in the woods alone, after dark now. Nick will be sharing all of those experiences on tonight's show. We hope you'll tune in and listen. 23. Bermuda Triangle Survivor presents Pilot Bruce Gernon's astonishing experiences flying through the Bermuda Triangle and the groundbreaking theories he has created based on these encounters. He is the only living person to fly through the storm that creates one of the World's greatest mysteries. He has seen its birth and entered the heart at its maturity and escaped while experiencing a space/time warp, then witnessing its dissipation. Over the past four decades thousands of students have contacted him for help with research projects they were doing about the Bermuda Triangle. He has written this book for them and for anyone interested in meteorology and physics. You will learn new meteorological terms like Thunderstorm vortex tunnel, Timestorm and the Circular Vortex tunnel that he flew through in 1970. The most important thing he has discovered has a name that he coined in 1978, it called "ELECTRONIC FOG" and there has been thousands of planes, boats and people that have experienced it. Some seem to have disappeared while they were in the FOG. Could it have the power of an Event Horizon like a Black Hole? It took Bruce Thirty (30) years to discover the theory of how this fog works. He says if you think about a question for a very long time, eventually you will come up with the answer this is what he did. There are many theories of what caused the mystery, and the discovery of Rouge Waves has come to fruition, but that only applies to boats. The mystery still remains and after fifty (50) years "Electronic Fog" has become the case in point. There have been many animations on TV documentaries showing Bruce's flight experience, but none have ever shown it correctly. He has created a new video with animations that are three dimensional and shown never seen before details of what it looked like when he experienced the space/time warp and Electronic Fog. He has hopes that this will help students, researchers and scientists to open their minds and solve the mystery. For the moment, my little chunk o' heaven is calm. The East Evans Creek Fire (15,800 acres?) seems under control. The state fire marshal team tasked with structure protection left a week ago. The local IMT under state forestry has completed their 2 week rotation and has been replaced by a joint team from California and Australia. North-central and Eastern Oregon are a different situation. Something over 1.5 million acres have burned / are burning, several fires well beyond 100K acres, and today they're under a "PDS" red flag warning, not a red flag warning. I'd never heard the term. PDS is particularly dangerous situation. Low humidity, winds to 50 mph over active fires, and not enough resources to address new starts. Despite all of the conspiracy nonsense, these are lightning fires other than East Evans Creek which was the result of a car hitting a power pole and dropping live lines into dry brush.
