While that may be true? It doesn’t change the fact of what science requires to prove a new extant species. 2 type specimens. One male and one female. And there is absolutely NO WAY a 100 acre forest can sustain a breeding population of 800 lbs ape men. If that was the case? We would absolutely have proof by now. I have a herd of 20 Scottish Highland cattle on 350 acres of mixed pasture and forest and I still have to buy feed in the winter. And they are excellent browsers. Albeit they don’t hunt. But deer and elk are not gonna stick around on a 100 acre Bigfoot hunting ground.

Why are they competent? Did they capture the Green River Killer? I am buddies with the USAF officer that flew in the plane that tracked him with FLIR. Have you checked out any GWOT FLIR footage? They are smoking guys in the pitch black! They are absolutely terrifyingly COMPETENT. Are you just throwing darts at the wall? Hoping something sticks? Meldrum’s reputation isn’t being harmed? Have you talked to any scientists lately? How bout you go talk to Saskeptic on the James Randi forum? I have already responded to this…. Yes they ridicule people as tinfoil hat wearing crackpots. How many UFO shows and movies were out there before the government finally admitted that the phenomenon was real? (Like last year) How many MUFON investigators filing tens of thousands of reports? Bigfoot could exist AND the government doesn’t know it. Why- if Bigfoot exists -must the government be aware. Why are you so sure “they” are competent ? There is no evidence to support that as it pertains to Bigfoot. “They” have been completely incompetent. Consider… They will destroy people to keep bigfoot secret. How do Meldrum and so many others get to speak all the time. Explain the reasoning. Meldrum’s reputation isn’t being harmed. Its only improving. There’s a Tv show called finding bigfoot. How did it last beyond the first episode let alone multiple seasons? These shows are removing the stigma of claiming a Bigfoot sighting. Why isn’t that government stopping them? A government which knows about Bigfoot has done a bad job silencing people. How did I ever find out about thought by Bill Munns, Daniel Perez, Dr.s Meldrum, bindernagal, nikaris, Grover kranz, and so on? It’s just an April fools joke made by some small person who was in a position to make such a joke. They thought it was funny and probably personally didnt believe in Bigfoot. That doesn’t mean there was some collective effort. Just one person or a small group making a joke. By the way, NORAD is probably not really tracking Santa Claus.

You may not accept it? But if Bigfoot exists? THEY KNOW ABOUT IT. And if they don’t care? Then why the disinformation campaign? Why try to discredit the whole subject? Why USFS Bigfoot April fools jokes? How do you think that makes witnesses feel? Probably about the same as when Project Blue Book showed up at your farm in 1968, listened to your story and then smugly asked you if you had been drinking. You’re trying to find some logical explanation as to why the government isn’t transparent with the American people. Good question! All I can show you is the facts that they are indeed NOT transparent with the American people in multiple subjects. With UFOs being the 800 lbs elephant in the room but there are many others. Any agency that has eyes in the sky. Who looks at hours and hours of Border Patrol and Coast Guard FLIR footage? Military FLIR footage? DEA, FBI, CIA FLIR footage? Your preaching to the choir. The U.S. government is compartmentalized for a REASON. Intelligence flows in and nothing comes out. If the subject of Bigfoot is classified? Then anyone with the appropriate clearance and a need to know basis would be able to access that intelligence. They are they….. Sorry I don’t have a list.

Taking the word paranormal out of it ..just a general FYI

Well….where would I begin. I cannot accept Bigfoot would be so critical in importance to the government on the level of national security issues. Just because the government does this (and I’d say in a justified way) doesn’t mean they would do this on some low level concern like the Bigfoot issue. There are a lot of people and departments to make up “they” “They” don’t respond as a collective. What specific dept of the government is responsible for being “they”? If there was one set of lips it could be that set of lips could lie or tell the truth. Again, our government is millions of lips and various departments moving in all kinds of different directions.

I just grabbed a generic chart on the net to illustrate most don’t believe in Bigfoot. I don’t claim the numbers are right or wrong. Just to illustrate. That’s all. I’ll grab a diff chart next time that is not getting into the term paranormal. Maybe the terms established and not established might be better. Either way I’m guessing whatever the number who believe in Bigfoot its not more than 50% of Americans and probably much lower than 50%.

Fair. I totally glossed over that paranormal part. But in rebuttal, I don’t believe ancient civilizations or aliens fall under the paranormal so the entire thing is pretty misleading with such a title.

Two big problems I see with this Bigfoot item. First, it's asked in the context of a paranormal scale, implying that you accept a definition of Bigfoot as paranormal if you agree with the statement. Second, the wording is ambiguous-- is the item saying Bigfoot is a singular creature or a undiscovered species? It's not clear, but to the first point, since its wrapped in a paranormal belief scale the implication is that the item is referring to a singular creature. So if you believe --or even think that it's plausible-- that bigfoot are an undiscovered species and by no means paranormal, you'll probably select a neutral response or disagree. I honestly don't know what that 16% really believes.
