^^^ I just bumped up a historical newspaper article on the Rock Ape from a later publishing date to a few minutes from now, so those not familiar with it can see about it. Unfortunately, I don't have any info on Rockape. -

Also, in Southeast Asia, a smaller form is referred to as a "Rock Ape" which is not to be confused with forum member Rockape. Anyone have info on Rockape? He has not been on this forum in over 2 years. -
What happens when a Florida hunter stumbles onto more than just deer in the palmettos? In this gripping and emotional episode, we sit down with Stephen, a traditional bow maker whose life was forever changed one Thanksgiving morning in 1995. Deep inside Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area, Stephen and his hunting partner came face to face with not one — but two Sasquatch, including a massive black female clutching what may have been a baby or a pregnancy. Stephen recounts eerie moments from the swamps — snapped oak branches, thunderous bipedal chases, and the unforgettable sight of a bow-legged creature fleeing into the palmettos. We also trace his early childhood encounter in Massachusetts, the footprint discovery in Indiana, and the anxiety that followed these life-altering experiences. From Island Pond to Johnson Slough, this episode digs into what it means to be a knower — and why one family of swamp apes left a hunter forever changed. More than just a sighting, this story raises questions about fear, belief, and the truths hiding in our forests. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? What do you think of the US Forest Service's view on bigfoot?
georgerm replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
What do you think of the US Forest Service's view on bigfoot? The forest service and all of it wildlife biologist are staying very tight lipped when it comes to bigfoot that seems to have them stumped and confused. Tom Schultz who is the head of this government organization with 33,000 employees and all they have to say about bigfoot is its a mythical creature. Do they really mean bigfoot is a mythical/paranormal creature that evades capture and scientific study? Read another persons view on bigfoot. This statement gets into the woo factor that many bigfoot researchers have noticed including my own observations. Bigfoot and UFO sightings seem to coincide, like the 1973 sightings in the Pacific Northwest, where people reported seeing strange lights in the sky along with Bigfoot sightings. Another notable case is the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film, where some theorists suggest UFOs were involved in the background, considering the unusual nature of the event. Government Secrecy: There’s a lot of speculation about the government’s role in keeping certain phenomena under wraps. Some believe that the secrecy could be due to a broader understanding of unexplained phenomena, like interdimensional beings or extraterrestrial visitors, which could include Bigfoot as part of a larger, unrecognized truth about the nature of our world. Electromagnetic Disturbances: Electromagnetic anomalies near Bigfoot sightings are often noted by witnesses, with some pointing to these disturbances as evidence of interdimensional activity. The theory is that these anomalies might be linked to portals or rifts between dimensions, allowing Bigfoot or other entities to appear and disappear seemingly at will. Ancient Petroglyphs & Folklore: Many indigenous cultures have legends of beings that resemble Bigfoot, sometimes with connections to the stars or otherworldly realms. Petroglyphs in various parts of the world, including the Pacific Northwest, depict figures that some believe resemble Bigfoot, possibly hinting at an extraterrestrial origin or a deep cultural understanding of beings from beyond. Global Hotspots: There are a few regions around the world, like the Pacific Northwest in North America, parts of Russia, and certain areas in the Amazon, where Bigfoot and UFO sightings seem to overlap regularly. These hotspots tend to have a long history of unexplained phenomena, making them ripe for investigation into the potential connection between the two. I hope that helps shed some light on the mystery! These theories are still evolving, and the more we explore, the more fascinating connections we uncover. Let me know if you’d like to dive deeper into any of these questions! Cheers, Shawn -

Why is the federal government mum on Bigfoot.
Huntster replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
It's great to converse with somebody who gets it! You know how this works. They create flag officers out of post commanders, naval executive officers, chiefs of staff, etc. And those who build relationships told to each other. Some of the people at the very top do know. This extends well beyond sasquatchery and UFOs. A well known example would be Lyle Laverty. He knows.........and talks quietly. He doesn't create a circus atmosphere, clearly keeps it low key, and the only way his name really got out there was from others talking about him. No major conspiracy needed. Just little ones........... -

^^ Yep, retired Army, both because I had a decent CYA reflex and I listened to my civilian employees as my career went on. You are absolutely correct, all of this would be a Garrison Commander problem, not a 2-star or higher problem. Boy would I have love to be sitting in on that conversation between the Garrison CO and whoever was the major command commander. ("Well, sir, I"m not saying its "Bigfoot," ... but it's "Bigfoot.") -
2000 - Interview - A. Hodgson by Bill Miller and John Miles

Al Hodgson Interview by Bill Miller and John Miles (Parts 1 & 2) October 6, 2000 Video provided by Larry Lund to Todd Prescott Uploaded to YouTube by Todd Prescott YouTube Auto-Transcription edited by Trogluddite August 2025 Some key points: YouTube auto-transcription stinks. It was still light out when Roger Patterson, Bob Gimlin, and Al Hodgson (and his family) met at Hodgson's store. Al Hodgson flatly states that Roger Patterson did not go into either his store or his home while at Willow Creek. Al Hodgson accounts for most of Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin's time in Willow Creek as in discussions with himself and Syl McCoy. No phone calls to reporters are mentioned. Part 1 of the interview is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvDl7EC5UiM. Part 2 of the interview is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPhzwJD83Zc. The transcript combines both videos and summarizes much of Part 2 of the interview, as many topics did not directly relate to the Patterson-Gimlin film. In this chilling and heartfelt episode, we sit down with K, who takes us from rural Louisiana and Texas to the shadowed forests of Washington. From Caddo Lake to Glacier Peak, from mysterious crow-like calls to perfect circles of feathers, this is a journey of fear, trauma, healing, and a lifetime of encounters that will leave you questioning what walks among us. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? Why is the federal government mum on Bigfoot.
Huntster replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Because they're anal and, by nature, insecure. If there is something going on in their area of authority, they want to (1) know what is going on, and (2) control it. That's just who and what they are. All true. Sasquatches really aren't much trouble for anybody, on post or not. You get the occasional person getting freaked out, but that's about it. They're the perfect creature to ignore. You're correct. I bolded the civilian part because it's important. I know you're an Army guy (career?). I was a Public Works (DEH, DFE. etc) guy, exterior. The Natural Resources Officer is a civilian guy (at least on Ft. Richardson). The civilians are the continuity, and the Command bring the agenda. I suspect that when the first report of a Sasquatch on Ft. Lewis that got to the Post Commander (not the Commanding General), "a re-write" was immediately ordered because he WAS NOT going to be "the guy" to bring this up to the major command........and this is just how it has gone forward. "People in government" know" but "government" (as a total organization) doesn't.......because they don't want to. (That said, yes, the Commanding General most likely got briefed behind closed doors by the Post Commander...........because that's how those guys roll..........)
