I think we have at least one, maybe more, members that have been left in the lurch on BF research teams due to the lack of pre-planning and strategic implementation of a purported detailed plan. So yah, this is serious in your face, risk your life stuff, not ready for TV necessarily at least not in the Expedition Bigfoot sense of the word.

The Phenomenal Sasquatch is a comprehensive exploration of one of the most intriguing mysteries of modern times. Is the sasquatch an undiscovered animal or a product of the imagination? Author Matt Pruitt takes a multidisciplinary approach to this question, drawing on insights from biology, psychology, anthropology, and other fields. Examining the fossil record, indigenous knowledge, historical records, eyewitness accounts, and physical evidence, Pruitt takes the reader on a journey into the heart of the sasquatch phenomenon. He explores the possibility that sasquatches are simply large, rare primates, and delves into the psychological factors that may be at play during people’s encounters with these creatures. Alternatively, he considers the hypothesis that the sasquatch is merely a construct of the human mind that exists only in stories and art. In this thought-provoking work, Pruitt presents a balanced and rigorous analysis, providing readers with an in-depth look into the search for the natural origins of this cultural icon. Whether you are a skeptic or a believer, The Phenomenal Sasquatch will challenge your assumptions and deepen your understanding of this enduring mystery. What do you think of the US Forest Service's view on bigfoot?
guyzonthropus replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
After reading through this thread, it strikes me that if sasquatch were "but a mere wood ape" and the government knew of it, as seems to be the concensus, it would have been acknowledged long ago. There would be no big deal if there was a large American forest gorilla species. Which then compels one to reason there must be considerably more to it. The foot morphology certainly seems to point to a far more human creature, as does the bipedal walking, and apparently opposable thumbs. And then there's its apparent cognitive abilities, as seen in their knack for stealth and existing on the periphery of our towns and cities. Then there's the evidence of language development, another indicator of a higher sentience. And that's not even touching on the elements of woo... But in light of the silence, its difficult to presume just how the feds view these creatures, but I'd hazard the guess that they know a good deal more about them than most of us do..... -

Why is the federal government mum on Bigfoot.
guyzonthropus replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Personally I think that if they are indeed "keeping mum" on the topic, which at this point seems pretty dang likely, it goes well beyond just preserving the timber industry. In my view, sasquatch are one or more forms of pre-sapiens hominin, which would complicate disclosure considerably due to the ensuing demand for not only classification(a relatively minor aspect on the face of things) but legislation as well, including preserves vs free range(which would involve all sorts of regulatory aspects) the degree to which Human Rights apply(which could boil down to the (various)classifications and just how "close to really human" they are, no argument there, right?) Protective legislations, access laws (do we prohibit approaching them or allow distanced observation?) If they proved verbal as some claim, and then learn English that would further complicate things. One would think they could learn sign language. Of course if it turns out they are indeed telepathic, that's another whole kettle of fish. If we attempt to restrict they're motions are we then obliged to provide foods and other "supplies" Presuming the account of bodies and injured specimens coming from the St Helens event is valid, then the government has had at least a few decades to carry out what would be detailed study and examination of both live and dead subjects. And depending on the level of their effective communication, if present at all, things could get rather complicated. Its possible the governmemt has been working up viable guidelines, regulations and laws to be put in place once disclosure occurs or can no longer be put off, or maybe theyre still trying to work out viable systematics for containment/management. Elements of this issue such as these get considerably more complex should say their ability to use portals prove out. It could also be the case that while aware of these creatures, they're at a loss as to what to do due to their nature, needs and abilities, and if the announce such a situation it will undermine the confidence of the public. These are but a couple of potential scenarios where the government might be reluctant towards disclosure. There are countless others no doubt that get odder and less likely as more aspects/ things reported with sasquatch get integrated into the equation... -
Of anyone I might deem myself "associated with" Norseman, I would expect and trust your awareness and preperation/contingency planning to be on a level above the rest. I very been reading your perspective and experiences hunting for what, 15+ years now, and I take your word on all things hunting. Just saying in case it seemed like I was casting doubt on your statements.

What happens when a Detroit engineer sees a regal, white-furred creature walking across his backyard patio — and realizes it has no head? In this spine-tingling episode, we sit down with Aiden, an electrical engineer from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, who shares his first-hand account of encountering a mysterious, headless humanoid with ancient roots. Aiden describes the creature's powerful build, pristine fur, and impossible anatomy… and opens up about the strange environmental and energetic clues that seem to tie it all together. From granite boulders in his neighborhood to the role of quartz and frequency in cryptid visibility, Aiden’s analytical mind brings a unique perspective to the paranormal. This is not your typical Bigfoot story. And whether you believe in alternate dimensions, ancient beings, or the untapped weirdness of suburban America — this is one episode you won't forget. Featuring references to Detroit-area sightings, quartz resonance theory, and even a childhood encounter that eerily matches Aiden’s own. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? Pennsylvania (?) 1860s - Madman (or Bigfoot?) Terrorizes Logging Camp
Trogluddite posted a topic in More Historical Newspaper Archives
While the madman is referenced as being from New York, it is unclear where the loggers were. This entire account could be fictional, as many papers from the 1800s and later routinely carried short stories to fill the space. NOTE: Read the first column in part 1, then switch to the second part of the article, which leads into the second column of part 1. -
