reddit, which is only forums, is the 7th biggest site in the world. consolidation? yes. death? quite the opposite.

They found artifacts from where the cabin was standing and a short distance away is a gold mine. This is stunning news.

You must be an old guy.

But they are dying. I mentioned three right off the top of my head. The BFRO has moved their forum to Facebook specifically. We are not a social media platform like Reddit or Facebook. I personally do not like social media platforms. But it would seem people like me are a minority.

My point is that forums are not dying. Just this one.

I think we should be comparing apples to apples. The first Bigfoot forum I ever joined was the BFRO “blue room”. I was basically ran out of there for my pro kill stance, but whatever. It’s not the point. The point is that several years ago the BFRO shut down the blue room and opened up a Facebook page. They have 111 k members. Good for them. The hound hunting forum I belonged to? Gone. The jet boat forum called mean chicken…..gone. Along with the massive repository of knowledge. How does a very specific old school PHPBB board compete with Reddit or FB or the next great social platform? Good question.

Reddit Bigfoot has grown from 100K follows 2 years ago to 250K followers today. That isn't insignificant. Forums are as popular as ever, but something is askew with the recipe on this specific site. How many people actually post here in a month?

More on a report published earlier - it's hard to keep all these clippings straight. There seems to be much more to the story than meets the eye. The earliest report was from the Lancaster (PA) Daily Intelligencer on September 24, 1909; this report appears to describe a nude human. However, the second report, published in The Semi-Weekly New Era of Lancaster (PA) on October 6, 1909, appears to describe an animal, hairy and crashing through the underbrush to escape. The third story, also from The Semi-Weekly New Era's October 6, 1909 edition, describes a tragic accident resulting from the wild man scare.

I was this close to putting this one in the "clearly human" thread, but ... wearing no clothes caused hair that was "quite thick" over all his body and limbs?! Published in the Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette on September 13, 1882.

Daniel Boone did many amazing things and one of the most outstanding events that happened to him was when he encountered a Bigfoot while camped out in Kentucky with his men. In May of 2023, Crystal was sitting at a traffic light, near a well-known landmark in Pennsylvania, when she had a Sasquatch sighting. The landmark is called Horseshoe Curve. Horseshoe Curve is a winding series of curves, bridges, and tunnels that a railroad track winds through and over, near Altoona, Pennsylvania. Crystal had been in that area numerous times, going for hikes and doing various other things. Never, though, had she ever seen anything out of the ordinary.
