WHY DO THE FEDS WANT BIGFOOT TO REMAIN UNDCOMENTED & MYTHICAL?
Huntster replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
The U.S. government has literally hundreds of years of experience trying to get native peoples and immigrants to live together in peace. Current events demonstrate that the battles continue. With sasquatchery, and unlike Native American tribes, "mythology" helps keep the political difficulty to such a minimum as to eliminated it altogether. From AI: It's tough enough to deal with humanity under ethnic and tribal terms. Sub-species adds complexities and legal uncertainties. Government has very good reasons to keep sasquatches undiscovered. It makes their lives easier, keeps sasquatches living as wild as possible, reduces impacts to sasquatches by humanity, and reduces economic disruptions to a minimum. -

The advertisement was published in the Hull Daily Mail of England on January 15, 1954 and over the weekend. The Hull Daily Mail appears to be a local supplement of The Daily Mail, a London newspaper not included in the Newspapers.com archive. The story about the expedition's equipment and planned bakery was carried in The Courier-Mail of Brisbane, Australia on January 18, 1954. Not all readers were sanguine about the planned expedition, as noted in a letter to the editor of The Advertiser of Adelaide, Australia published on January 19, 1954. -

What are hominins? "The term "hominins" (also known as “hominini”) refers to the different species of the genus Homo that make up human evolution. Hominins include Homo erectus, Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis, among other species. The only surviving hominin species is Homo sapiens sapiens, i.e. modern humans." How about Homo sasquatchinsis as being a hominins that is smart enough to avoid human detection. -

IF these creatures are hominins (and the evidence strongly indicates that they are), the appropriate researchers are as much (or more) anthropologists than biologists, and there is good reason to study the phenomenon in a low key, or even secret way. https://historyreclaimed.co.uk/is-there-a-primitive-society/ -

Many of us cringe when we see animal species going extinct and feel guilty for not doing more to protect a species. We just haven't developed adequate methods to study bigfoot populations so we can determine if their populations are stable or do we need special methods to ensure bigfoots can raise families and keep stable populations? -
Why is the Forest Service and BLM so quiet about Bigfoot?
georgerm replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
The RZ zones or Riparian Vegetation Zone, sound like a good idea since trees are not cut and logged within 50' of a certain sized creek which keeps fish habitat healthy and nature's animals such as beavers, weasels, and bigfoots can travel the banks of the creeks without drawing unwanted recognition. Is this a good idea? -
The Forest Service considers bigfoot to be mythical and so they won't put any effort into helping Sasquatch survive like they did to help the Spotted Owl. The Forest Service knows moving bigfoot from mythical to a proven species will cause many forest to be shut down for logging. How do you prevent this from happening?

The first line could be changed to "That was pretty brass Femme-nads behavior". Ovaries are tough. The 'hide / walk / run' discussion has been worn out. With today's inflation, I think you should increase your 2 cents value and add a fuel surcharge.

Kentucky Hunter Saw What Was Chasing the Wild Pigs
georgerm replied to BFFbot's topic in Bigfoot Society Podcast
What was chasing the pigs? -
Wild pigs came crashing through the Kentucky woods. Seconds later, a massive, hairy figure ran past a hunter less than 20 feet away. Jay recalls the morning near Cadiz when he watched a seven- to eight-foot creature chase a herd of wild pigs through his hunting spot. A shaft of sunlight revealed a detail he still remembers decades later: a human-looking ear. In Bigfoot Society Episode 1211, Jeremiah Byron also hears accounts of huge footprints in Colorado’s Rampart Range, a Michigan whoop powerful enough to make a witness’s body shake, and a strange figure outside a Pennsylvania woodshed wearing a light-blue jacket. What did Jay see pursuing those pigs at daybreak? Hear his account in his own words. Why is the Forest Service and BLM so quiet about Bigfoot?
georgerm replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
As Norseman states, Washington State's RZ zones are important programs which enhances the fish and wildlife industry along with outdoor activities such as hiking, photography, and fish production. The RZ zones are located where creeks pass through Washington State Forest and federal lands. We may have them in Oregon. The RZ zones sound like a good idea since trees are not cut and logged within 50' of a certain sized creek which keeps fish habitat healthy and nature's animals such as beavers, weasels, and bigfoots can travel the banks of the creeks without drawing unwanted recognition. This forest buffer area also prevents logs from being yarded or hauled up hills and across creeks to the landing where logs are loaded onto trucks. This practice destroys animal and plant habitats and makes hiking less enjoyable. When tree cover is maintained along creeks, the sunshine is blocked so the water doesn't heat up, grow algae, and kill fish such as bullheads, trout, and spawning steelhead or salmon. Hikers are attracted to forest trails with tree cover and along creeks where wildlife can be observed. It may cost more to log these areas where creek buffers are located yet many taxpayers are willing to pay more for lumber so hiking trails can follow forested creeks which enhances the hiking industry. The commercial salmon industry is also enhanced because salmon smolts survive better in shaded, cool water. and they return to the ocean where they supply fish for the food industry. RZ zones enhance society's need for outdoor recreation, wildlife and lumber. -
WHY DO THE FEDS WANT BIGFOOT TO REMAIN UNDCOMENTED & MYTHICAL?

A few bigfoots in America are lucky since there is still plenty of undeveloped land such as many areas of Alaska and a few states below Canada. The bigfoots in these areas can avoid interacting with humans if they choose to do so and carry on their daily lives without seeing humans. The bigfoots in other states seem to depend on humans since there are reports of them taking cows, raiding chicken coops, or showing up at night on rural properties. Even though there is plenty of wilderness for them, some congregate on developed property which seems to attract some Sasquatches. Mavbe these Sasquatches have been pushed out of the wilderness by dominant Sasquatch families, and they depend on rural folks for their food and shelter. We just don't have the answers to these questions since we haven't allocated funds to do quality unintrusive studies of bigfoots. Maybe we should develop better ways to determine how we can help sustain bigfoot populations if needed. Many of us cringe when we see animal species going extinct and feel guilty for not doing more to protect a species. We just haven't developed adequate methods to study bigfoot populations so we can determine if their populations are stable or do we need special methods to ensure bigfoots can raise families and keep stable populations? The picture below shows me in my drift boat exploring bigfoot's habitat on the Rogue River of Oregon. -

Why is the Forest Service and BLM so quiet about Bigfoot?
georgerm replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Sasquatches probably looked at native Americans more favorably since they had a low impact on their environment and the creatures were probably not afraid once they became used to living around the native Americans. This cohesiveness probably varied from tribe to tribe and more hostile tribes may have been averse to enjoying the company of bigfoots. The same applies in reverse with family groups of bigfoots who did not trust humans so it's difficult to know the relationship between the two groups. The relationship between modern humans and bigfoots today is probably far worse than when native Americans were dominate. Modern humans today have built the Forest Service that doesn't even recognize bigfoot probably due to admitting there is a bigfoot would amount to territory protection and vast reductions in logging if environmental groups demand extreme Sasquatch land protection. -
WHY DO THE FEDS WANT BIGFOOT TO REMAIN UNDCOMENTED & MYTHICAL?
Huntster replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
My beliefs, like everybody else's, are subject to change as evidence and theories sway them. No worries about differences! I don't take offense. Well, frankly, it seems to me that the lives of sasquatches are more humane the less they interact with us. My Dad actually got me started on this consideration when I was still a teen by advocating that they should be left alone. Indeed, the same is true of Homo sapiens tribes and ethnicities living in remote areas who don't want to have anything to do with the rest of us. As an Alaskan, living in a huge state with a tiny population, I understand the desire to live apart from the world of man as much as possible and comfortable. That's why I'm here. And if folks who rarely to never visit wild areas accept sasquatches as only mythical, but still enjoy movies like Harry and the Hendersons as comedy and Jack Link commercials as entertaining, aren't their lives enriched regarding wilderness wildlife? But haven't we already done all that? That seems a bit intrusive to me. Sasquatches appear to prefer solitude, and they appear quite capable of achieving it without our help. This is a very valid concern. Government secrecy about sasquatchery lends little to no confidence that the species is not going extinct. I guess I'm willing to trust them rather than open it up to all of humanity, which looks to me to be the kiss of death for the species. -
WHY DO THE FEDS WANT BIGFOOT TO REMAIN UNDCOMENTED & MYTHICAL?
georgerm replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Very well written reply and thanks. I hope my reply is not contrary to your beliefs. If federal government and mainly the Forest Service took an active role to discover Sasquatch and to protect its precise habitat then possibly bigfoot's lives could be more humane and our lives would be richer with forest filled with wildlife. The problem is to locate Sasquatch's nesting area as Albert Ostman accomplished by accident. We have grown into a huge and powerful country, and it seems humane to study and to make room for animals that get caught in the wheels of progress. We are smart enough to grow our economy and protect animal's habitats at the same time. The greatness of a country can be determined by how well it takes care of its people, and the welfare of animals yet manage logging, hunting and mining so nature's animals can live in managed numbers too. So how do we take care and protect bigfoot? We first need to use the evidence we already have to prove its existence then we need to hire a small army of biologist and Eagle Scouts to roam, camp in the woods, and secretly find bigfoot's nesting sites so we can keep tourist, hunters and loggers at a reasonable distance away from the nesting sites. It's a tall order to fill and possibly our effort may enable bigfoot to live a better life and may prevent the possible extinction of bigfoot. -
Why is the Forest Service and BLM so quiet about Bigfoot?
Huntster replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
It's an interesting thought exercise to consider how the sasquatch species was affected by the arrival of non-indigenous people. First, native Americans lived in groups and villages that were mostly nomadic, and their weapons were close ranged. When Europeans arrived, the Homo sapiens population numbers exploded within a very short period, they established towns and cities that remain and some of which have grown into metropolises, and we now have the capability of shooting them from a quarter mile away. Sasquatches have shared this continent with native Americans for at least 12,000 years, but the past 200 years have changed everything. Indeed, we can even categorize the past 200 years: 1825-1925: Occasional contact with European explorers, trappers, and prospectors 1925-1955: Increasing contact, and the beginning of mass media exposure of the species to humanity 1955-today: An explosion of sasquatchery in the Homo sapiens consciousness, beginning with contact from people penetrating the Six Rivers National Forest timber sales and the modern media
