    Norse’s trail cam pics

I just read that Washington state banned baiting for Moose, Elk and Deer. So I guess I need to shut the stand down. 😥
  3. I'd guess that 98%+ of the people who are interested in the phenomenon rarely if ever go boots on the ground. You are doing it and getting results. I love it!! Keep sharing. Thank you for your efforts.
  4. Thanks so much for this. I watched the whole thing. The most credible witness ever. These two guys are the real deal.
  5. It’s their claim, not mine. What could go wrong? Another ice age (if they are right). I have Canadian timber wolves on my property right now. The government transplanted them. What is my recourse? Zip, zero, nada.

What scientific campaigns are we missing?

For a long time, we accepted that there were 2 forms of life on our plant - animal and plant. Then, we advanced scientifically to the point that we could observe microorganisms. Microorganisms, in fact, have a biomass far greater than animal life. My suspicion is that to truly grasp the phenomenon, we are going to have to evolve our tools of observation past FLIR, trail cams and footprint castings. As our tools evolve, our ability to observe the phenomenon around us will evolve. Our current perceptive capabilities, even when enhanced with state of the art tech, are only giving us a tiny part of the picture of what is going on around us.
  7. your post nearly made my head explode, then I realized you were kidding. speaking of the mammoth; they have now created a dire wolf. sure, its a great story. is the company who did it liable when they take down their first human? how is this related to the mammoth? I heard Forrest Gallante talking about how mammoths are next and will be here by 2028, in the wild. I love the story, love the idea, but I can't help but wonder - is playing God a good idea? what could go wrong?

  9. Join host Jeremiah Byron in this episode of Bigfoot Society as we talk to Michael, who reached out via email to share his astonishing encounters with Bigfoot. Michael recounts a series of unforgettable events starting from his childhood in Nebraska, where he first encountered Bigfoot at a dude ranch. Despite the ridicule and disbelief from family and friends, Michael continues to stand by his experiences, which also include eerie activity in Georgia and a haunting revelation in Sedona, Arizona. This in-depth interview highlights the profound impact these encounters have had on his life and offers new insight into Bigfoot behavior and locations you may not expect. Sasquatch Summerfest this year, is July 11th through the 12th, 2025. It's going to be fantastic. Listeners, if you're going to go, you can get a two day ticket for the cost of one. If you use the code "BFS" like Bigfoot society and it'll get you some off your cost. Priscilla was a nice enough to provide that for my listeners. So there you go. I look forward to seeing you there. 10. This is the theory I heard. Mammoths knocked down trees and expand grasslands.
  11. You just lost any credibility During the Cretaceous Period (145–66 million years ago), the Great Plains were covered by a shallow inland sea called the Western Interior Seaway. However, during the Late Cretaceous to the Paleocene (65–55 million years ago), the seaway had begun to recede, leaving behind thick marine deposits and a relatively flat terrain which the seaway had once occupied.[26] During the Cenozoic era, specifically about 25 million years ago during the Miocene and Pliocene epochs, the continental climate became favorable to the evolution of grasslands. Existing forest biomes declined and grasslands became much more widespread.
  12. The Earth is not fragile and It has nothing to do with Trump, science says forest management….lots of forest management is good for the environment. The modern environmental movement is about making a quick buck. One man’s environmental damage is another man’s progress for human kind.
  13. I doubt that completely. The vast majority of fires during that time was caused by lightning, humans couldn’t stop any fire. Humans causing one or hundreds of fires wouldn’t create millions of acres grasslands to form. Im not really sure where you’re going with this. Timber management is good, needed and probably would help the bigfeet since it would create cover and food. I doubt they would even notice though.
  14. Yesterday
  15. Human civilization was built on metal, wood, food, stone, etc... Capitalism isnt perfect, but there is nothing even remotely comparable. And Modern logging is a sustainable future. I dont want every stick taken out of the woods either.

  19. the Great Plains stretch over the states you mention, but your claim of human's creating fires, burning down forests, so now we have the Great Plains is absurd.
  20. Do you guys know the story behind the largest and heaviest man made land object? it was called the Captain. Also known as Marion 6360. it weighed 30 million pounds. A hydraulic line burst and caught the whole thing on fire. the companies response? the buried the freaking machine underground and left a huge poison pill in the Earth. point being companies can and have (historically) have had little care for long lasting Environmental damage in the name of making a quick buck. and im a gun toting 3x Trump voter thats anti EV that drives a Ford with a 7.3 liter Gas v8, but i'm not gonna side with the Trump administration on every. single. issue
  21. yes. It wouldn't be the first time humans didnt exploit natural resources and rape the land in the name of profit I'm talking about kansas up to north dakota. There isnt jack #4%^ when compared to the woods of the west.
  22. literally posting "it looks good on paper" stats is fine, but theres a lot of assumptions being made about the infinitesimal stats of the timber thats going to be felled.
  23. 1. so you are concerned about an unknown future, which falls outside of any plans anyone actually has? so, the boogie man? 2. the reason that there aren't forests in the midwest (there are plenty of forests in the midwest) is 100% most certainly not because of humans burning them to the ground for hunting. this is insane and makes me question your reading comprehension abilities.
  24. These are also... claims. Yes, I agree if everything being said is true than its fine but i'd be curious to see the actual result in the years to come, and thats what i'm concerned about. I know the 112 million acres doesnt automatically mean 112 million acres are going to be felled but the actual end result is what im talking about. its a theory but the reason we dont have forests in the midwest (such as kansas) is because thousands of years ago humans burned everything to the ground to drive animals out of the woods to be hunted..
  25. We’ve seen a number of DNA campaigns run from various researchers and institutions. And I certainly agree this area should be the top priority in the search. We also have Meldrun doing a lot of work on the footprint and locomotion front. But what other areas could scientists and researchers really take a more in depth deep dive? I know infrasonics has been a large area of interest, but has anyone performed any large scale studies? I know it’s a pretty difficult undertaking with the costs and equipment, but there could be some invaluable data to be collected if the infrasonic theory proves to be accurate. To stay similarly in line with infrasound, have there been any deep dive vocalization studies? I know whoops and howls are a popular thing with field researchers, but have any primate vocalization experts spent any amount of time thoroughly researching? What other areas could we attempt in depth research into that could, if nothing else, provide us a means of getting closer to obtaining the much needed dna sample?
  26. You make a good point. We all would like the Bigfoot topic to get the serious consideration and resources we feel it deserves. Yet, I would like to offer up this idea: PT Barnum (or someone like him) stated, "I don't care what they keep saying about me so long as they spell my name right" The idea is any press is good press. I don't see anything demeaning about a Messin' with Sasquatch commercial. In a way I think the more Bigfoot air fresheners in cars or mudflaps and beef jerky commercials put Bigfoot in the mind of the public. I see that as a good thing. This is having fun with the topic which I think softens the topic for the public. Attempting serious academic study of Bigfoot could be met with ridicule. Such serious people are lumped in with those people looking for unicorns. If a person claim they saw Bigfoot they probably don't have time to whip out their call phone This leaves them with a choice: Tell others what you saw or keep quit. As Gimlin found out, even having a film of a reported bigfoot is not enough to shied you from harassment and ridicule. If I saw what I thought was bigfoot in the woods, I might not tell anybody. Shows like Discovery and so on have done a decent job giving serious study to the Bigfoot concept. Really good shows have featured the kind of experts we want to present. These are people like Munns, Meldrum, john Bindernagal, Anna Nikaris, and so on. These people are a good face for the serious study of Bigfoot. Where we miss are shows like Finding Bigfoot where the bigfoot topic unintentionally becomes a joke. You have people talking about bigfoot like he exists as a proven. They brag about all these things they attribute as fact right down to bigfoot's diet, bigfoot's favorite color, and bigfoot's favorite baseball team. When you have Bobo running around saying every twig snap is a 'squatch' all the previous well- built credibility is lost. You can't underestimate the damage this has created. Anyone doing a serious study of Bigfoot is lumped in with the face of Bigfoot. That face is Bobo. For me, finding bigfoot has done more to harm the subject of bigfoot second only to Bob Heironimus unchallenged claims
  27. Thanks for that. Definitely sounds as if it could be our quarry! Nice catch. Almost as if they were annoyed you put recorders on their turf.
