Try as I might, most of this is not at all what I said. If there was even a time for me to step back from a thread for a while this is that time.

Many wild men and wild women stories are just as clearly human as stories about 8-feet tall, hair covered calf-killers are clearly Bigfoot or Sasquatch (or entirely made up, we'll never know). I'm going to put some of the more dramatic or humorous or in some cases wholly disheartening stories here. While it may seem counter-intuitive to include such stories in this thread, there are at least two cases where published books found only half of a story and reported an incident clearly involving a human as if Bigfoot was involved.

What are the odds of some Soldier or Marine or Border Patrol or DEA agent, etc., seeing one? Probably very high. But even reported, it likely stops at the first level chain-of-command because its not relevant to each agency's specific statutory missions (national defense, border security, or stopping illegal drug activity) and, as noted in another thread, even if reported to the correct agency (National Fish and Wildlife?), still not sufficient to establish that a species exists. Even if the witness was the offspring of George Washington and Mother Theresa and genetically could not tell a lie, and was hit with truth serum, and passed multiple polygraph exams, its just not enough. Sadly, unless and until John McClane tosses the dead body of a Bigfoot out of a window at Nakatomi Plaza onto a police car below, efforts to prove existence will be futile.

I'm afraid I have to agree as well .. mostly. I do believe that clear, up close, digital footage might be useful in that if we are to deliberately seek a carcass successfully, rather than wait on random chance, then it is going to take resources. While photos / video will not prove existence, they might convince donors or even academics that there is something worth their resources to study / collect. In the way of an analogy, your car engine doesn't directly turn the tires to make you move ... good video / photos MIGHT prove to be the transmission or drive shaft that connect the pieces that otherwise won't connect.

^^ Agree with this sentiment 100% - they had bodies of spotted owls, thus declared them a species. They had bodies of whatever smelt or fish that they used to shut down most of the water in California, thus they could declare them a species. No amount of casts, videos, or testimony will cause science or the government to recognize this species, not because those things are inherently worthless, but they are insufficient to support a scientific conclusion.

I don't believe that. Norse is 100% correct: It has to be a carcass, and delivered........to somebody........ Photographic evidence is as worthless as testimony. If the Patterson film, complete with casted footprint evidence, site visits by several independent parties afterwards, and in a location with a 12 year history of footprints (that exact size and shape) and sightings isn't enough to get government or Science to invest a hoot, forget photography.

(Which they are, the pre Sputnik observatory plates prove this) There is a zero percent chance the government hasn’t detected them. Which logically also applies to a 800 lbs primate walking across international borders, bombing ranges, national parks, etc. 37 trillion dollars buys a lot of hardware. So if what I say is true? Then how is the government not lying? And I also disagree that cell phones are gonna crack anything. It’s just another crummy blurry video to add to the heap. And the local Forest Ranger will laugh about it and call it a man in a Gorilla suit. It’s the same tactic as calling a UFO “swamp gas”. You ask why the government lies. This seems to be the lynchpin to your belief. You cannot fathom why the government would lie about some unknown creature. Well I would first state that Bigfoot is the all time hide and seek champion. So something is obviously different about this creature vs a mountain gorilla or a bear or even a cougar. Huntster brings up that it’s probably human. I don’t know if this is true or not from a scientific point of view. But it certainly looks more like us than any great ape. This may very well be a can of worms the government doesn’t want opened especially with its historical relationship to native Americans. My .02 cents? The government never admits it doesn’t have control. So they are never gonna say that they cannot control their own airspace, anymore than they are gonna admit that they cannot control their own parks. They would rather badger witnesses and continue a false narrative while putting the general public at risk. Anyone reading this? I would advise people to look at other subjects that deal with the federal government. You will start connecting the dots. Unfortunately…. I know it’s a tough pill to swallow.

I thought I would mention I wasn't the one who brought up UFO's Back to lying: There is no doubt people and organizations lie for a whole variety of reasons. You mention Whistleblowers. Since Whistleblower are also people, sometimes Whistleblowers are liars as well. They are not immune to lying. Bigfoot is the issue. Lying about Bigfoot would assume the person/ organization doing the lying is 1) aware of some truth about bigfoot and 2) actively chooses to misrepresent the truth. Could be. Just because I don't believe that doesn't mean I close the door to the possibly. If Bigfoot IS being kept quiet by the government, I'm betting it is just a matter of time before the cell phone blows the cover of any cover-up. Things happen too fast in real time now. Unlike the old days no one has to get the camera. They always have a camera, video, social media, and telephone with them at all times. Imagine some scenario where bigfoot is hit by someone's truck. It's everywhere on social media before the sheriff arrives.

People should heed this .. you speak the truth. The mills here that relied on timber harvest from USFS lands are gone. We had over 20 in the Rogue Valley that were the backbone of the local economy (along with orchards). None of those remain. The only mills I still see open rely on harvest from private timberlands and a small bit of BLM which is part of the old O&C Railroad land thus managed as private. Those mills are not here, they're on the other side of the Cascades in Klamath County. SW Oregon has taken an economic beating. MIB

I thought of it in the same way for decades, even though the Aboriginal American description of sasquatches has always been that of being "people" of a different race. I turned when considering the repeated phenomenon of DNA samples coming back "human", and the Sierra Sounds being a "language". It also fits the current theories of multi-human species of the relatively recent past with Neanderthals, Denisovans, and Hobbits. It all fits. And when I turned from manlike-ape to apelike-man, there was no turning back.

So, boring warning. Went to a woo location so no need bothering this forum with that. However great riparian area with at least one class a sighting. A cyclone blew up leading to cloud walls forming over highlands with dangerous winds for prolonged period and occasional explosive lightning. This area is known for this although it was leaving my area of interest. There seems to be an immense awareness even among th locals that there is something different up here. A lone sasquatch of immense powers (which is the woo part). Led to a prolonged sighting at close range elsewhere in the same season. He has been up there likely hundreds of years or, just that a lone male sas. is always living up there. Been up several times as I regained interest, East coast. Found clear evidence of something, this guy like to hide near a main artery and people watch. Somewhat degraded from way back when where I had an interaction. On a cycle trail with bluffs to hide under, over. I found 4-5 wide paths stamped into hiding locations near the trail (also lot of illegals patrols in the area, constantly) stamped into mud and dead ending about 25 to 35+ ft into rich riperian repasts. Also, a sleeping pad about 10X10 ft square, may have been machine cleared but smooth and not one twig, level right next to trail. Perfect for a large hominid to rest in unobserved but near traffic. Like to be out at night in the fields and woods under a full moon. Spring is probably the best time or late winter. Near another area as well even another in Whitehall NY, those are different and seem to be family subgroups seasonal traveling betwee ranges, upland and low land remote areas well protected.

I confess I have NEVER considered Bigfoot any kind of "Human". I never thought of Bigfoot as a ape-like MAN. I have always thought of Bigfoot as a man-like APE. Because of this, I have never really considered any ramifications of bigfoot being essentially human. If I gave it some deeper thought, I honestly don't know what I would believe about how it would affect government, society, laws, and so on. It could very well change my mind. Coming from the Bigfoot-is-an-animal mindset, it makes sense how I- and anyone who sees Bigfoot the same way- could dismiss any high level of concern government and Bigfoot. Anyone with my bias is going to conclude the same thing. I never really considered another possibility.
