  4. Thanks for the report Doug and I could visualize your climb along the elk trail and what an interesting find. Here in southwest Oregon the upper regions of Elk River near the town of Port Orford look the same as the attached picture of the area that you were in called upper Mill Creek Park.
  5. Posted 5 hours ago OK TIME TO JOIN AND BE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTOR. I've lurked this site, quite a while and have dove deep into the archives. Frankly, it appears that the powers that be, Mods, Admins, etc. are probably the reason this site has fallen intro the septic tank . BEING A THREE STAR MAJOR, I'VE NEVER SEEN THE MODS OR GENERALS WHO HAVE 5 OR MORE STARS BE UNFAIR TO THOSE WHO RECENTLY JOINED THE FORUM. The ridiculous (in both length and proclamation) TOS is laughable. WHAT IS TOS? Mods here have gone out of there way to make newbies feel unwelcome and it looks like they lay in the weeds ready to pounce on an unsuspecting member with the ban hammer. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AND MANY OF THE MODS OR GENERALS WITH 5 STARS OF MORE FREELY COMMUNICATE WITH NEW-COMERS AND TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT. SOME NEWBIES HAVE HAD A CLASS A SIGHTING WHILE OTHERS SADLY WILL NOT LUCK OUT AND HAVE A SIGHTING. BIGFOOTS ARE EXTREMELY SHY AND NEVER WANT TO BE SEEN BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY WILL BE HUNTED. THEY SMELL HUMANS BEFORE WE SEE THEM. I JOINED BECAUSE I HAD A LUCKY IN PERSON SIGHTING WHILE SLEEPING OUT IN THE NATIONAL FOREST WHILE ON A COMMERCIAL FIREWOOD CUTTING TRIP WITH MY PARTNER BILL. THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF YEARS BEFORE I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE FORUM. An internet power trip = a degenerate not quite ready for prime time. Many of you have ran off people who could contribute, but since they might not believe in exactly what you believe, the troll label gets slapped on someone. CAN SOMEONE DEFINE A TROLL. IS IT SOME PERSON WHO SIMPLY WANTS TO AGRAVATE AND DISRUPT. WE MAY HAVE HAD ONE MODERATOR WHO HAD AN ATTITUDE BUT I DON'T SEE RECENT POSTS FROM THIS PERSON. And, hmm, wonder why hardly anybody participates on this site?! IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE THE PGF PATTERSON GIMLIM FILM IS GETTING OLD AND REAL UP-CLOSE SIGHTINGS ARE RARE.

  7. Welcome aboard Cedar. Can you be more explicit and explain why you think the Forest Service is well aware of Bigfoots? My sighting report from 1980 is in the sighting section, Pacific Northwest b
  8. "The U.S. Forest Service had an equivalent of 31,147 full-time employees in fiscal year 2022. While specific data on the number of wildlife biologists within that workforce isn't readily available, wildlife biologists are a key part of the agency's work, focusing on research, habitat management, and monitoring of wildlife populations. The Forest Service employs both permanent and seasonal staff, with28,330 permanent employees in FY 2008 and 4,488 seasonal employees. The U.S. Forest Service manages 193 million acres of land. This includes 155 national forests and 20 national grasslands. The Forest Service also helps steward approximately 900 million forested acres in the U.S. " google. I am going to guess that ten percent of the 31,147 full time employees or 3114 employees spent most of their time in the woods and traveling back roads in the forest where bigfoot makes its home. One of their jobs is to inspect stands of forest trees for potential logging projects. Do you think that Forest Service employees would be encouraged to make public reports of bigfoot sightings? Why or why not? If bigfoot was classified as an endangered species what would happen to timber production? "The Endangered Species Act (ESA), enacted in 1973, is the primary U.S. law protecting and conserving threatened and endangered species. It aims to prevent species from going extinct by requiring the federal government to list species as endangered or threatened and develop recovery plans. The ESA also prohibits the "take" of listed species, which includes actions like harming or killing them," google.

  14. Doug, thanks for the drawing and the backstory. I recall a pic somewhere of what was thought to be a butt print in mud and I think one or two hand prints next to it.

Hello! I currently live in California, USA, but grew up in Berkshire county in western Massachusetts, USA, which I have since learned has more bigfoot cases than I would have guessed. I've been interested in the topic since I was a kid who enjoyed the 33-volume "Mysteries of the Unknown" series published by Time-Life Books in the USA. I dream of seeing one someday.
  19. Tonight’s guest, Jerry Millwood Jr., lives in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, near the South Mountains Mountain Chain, in Western North Carolina. There are a lot of things about the area where Jerry lives that appeal to him. One of the most appealing things to him about living where he does, however, is the presence of Sasquatch there. While it’s true that some people would be ready to pull up stakes and move the moment they found out they had Sasquatch living close to their home, that’s not the case with Jerry. He loves the fact that he might see one at any given time while he’s walking around his property. On tonight’s show, Jerry’s not only going to share some of the sightings and experiences he’s had with them, he’s also going to share some experiences other eyewitnesses have shared with him. We hope you’ll listen to him do that. If you’ve had a Bigfoot sighting and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to BigfootEyewitness.com and let me know. 21. This one is kinda long, so I will do it in chapters. I don't like long typing sessions. Chapter one: The area and events leading up to the encounter The events occurred near the extinct townsite of Valsetz Oregon in the east side of the Oregon Coast range 16 miles from the nearest town, which is Falls City. It was in the early 90's and I was bow hunting with several different people over a period of time. On more than one occasion, we would hear wood knocks frequently above the townsite on the south east slope of Sugarloaf mountain and near the cliffside of Rooster Rock. Wood knocks were becoming common in our hunting area. We had not heard them before that we could remember and we had no idea what was making them. The incident I will relate happened to the south east of Rooster Rock about maybe three miles away on what is known as the Valsetz Flats. There are old logging roads that had grown over and was now basically wide ways with a well worn game trail down the middle. My brother and I were bowhunting and decided to walk up a gated logging road that would take us from the Flats to Fanno Ridge. We hadn't been on this road in many years, so we wanted to hunt up it and it's side roads more for nostalgic reasons than anything, though, at that time, elk were abundant in the area.

  27. Barking squirrels have their own coconut telegraph that is for certain, sometimes it is because they do not understand what they see or encounter if it is novel to their environment, a sort of alarming surprise.
  28. bipedalist

A drawing of my first encounter.

Amazing, I think many people would trade their sighting just to see a Bigfoot butt crack in the hillside ecotome, lol. No seriously, the fisherman confirming the scenario would be a cool read if in the BFRO or other database? Do you recall whether the fisherman could detect gender, and are you certain that could not have been cleavage of another sort? Just funning you here of course. Thanks for the report and drawings. It is possible @joebeelart is familiar with this sighting and/or stomping grounds. Joe?
