I Know I'm Beating A Dead Horse But Bigfoot Deserves Better
FLY replied to CatskillCrawler's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
On a side note ( read that as thread drift) . It always comes up why has no bigfoot bodies or bones been found . Hominids are the only species who ritualistically bury their dead https://www.earth.com/news/homo-naledi-may-have-been-the-first-to-bury-their-dead-200000-years-ago/ You know typing that up. The thought occurred to me . Those mystery log structures that are being found? Has anyone ever searched the ground near them for possible burial sites? - Today

12 Seconds That Changed Everything — Brian’s Daylight Bigfoot Sighting
BFFbot posted a topic in Bigfoot Society Podcast
What happens when a paranormal investigator drives home through the mountains of Colorado — and comes face to face with something he never expected to see in daylight? In this gripping and emotional episode, we talk with Brian, a Colorado-based paranormal investigator who recounts the early morning moment that changed his life: a 9-foot-tall, jet-black Sasquatch sprinting up from a rocky riverbank and across the road just feet from his car. But that wasn’t the end — Brian shares the footprints he later found with Jim Myers of the Sasquatch Outpost, the vocalizations he recorded in Kenosha Pass, and a mysterious growl that came in response to his call near Glen Haven. You'll hear stories from Bailey, Red Feather Lakes, Steamboat Springs, and even Remer, Minnesota — including how his wife had her own daylight encounter as a child. From eye shine caught on trail cams to theories on interdimensional travel, this episode blends mystery, emotion, and real human experience into one unforgettable story. More than just a sighting — this is a firsthand transformation, from skeptic to believer. If you've ever wondered whether Bigfoot walks among us... this episode may bring you closer than ever before. I Know I'm Beating A Dead Horse But Bigfoot Deserves Better

1) If Sasquatches exist, reporting data alone demands they have existed on Fort Lewis, WA, at some point since the creation of Ft. Lewis as an Army post in 1917 (just 27 years after the end of the American Indian Wars). Reporting data strongly indicates that Ft. Lewis features an enduring population of these creatures passing through on a regular basis, and a century ago might well have had a decent resident population. There are documented reports of soldiers seeing them, and even shooting at them, as well as civilians on and around the post seeing them. Pierce County pretty much has the highest report counts in the BRFO database for the entire continent. The U.S. Army has every tool and asset necessary to "catch" the strongest physical evidence of these creatures, even back in the early days of the post, especially after a half century of chasing Indians around the continent. They also have the ability to do so secretly, both from the knowledge of the public, other government agencies, and even from the knowledge of most of the soldiers and officers on post. 2) The Army has a cultural attitude of superiority over their environment and informational security.......to the point of paranoia. It has been this way since even before the beginning of the U.S. Army's existence when it was still the British Army. If field commanders have Sasquatches running around their facilities, reports will reach people with authority, and some of them WILL utilize their assets to find out what is going on, then they WILL report their findings to their superiors. If told to stop their activities and keep their mouths shut, there is more than a fair chance that they will do as instructed. 3) Especially since the mid-1960's (50 years after Ft. Lewis was founded, and more than 50 years ago from today), the environmental movement is plenty of reason why a post commander would keep the existence of sasquatches downplayed, if not actively covering their existence up, especially on Army lands. There are also numerous other potential reasons, especially if they have determined that these creatures are primitive humans (as the Indians claim), having gone through Indian Wars for some 500 years now. If Sasquatches exist, some within the U.S. Army know about it. You can take that to the bank. -

That is correct. But I'm quite confident that there are conspiracies within government to ignore the existence of Sasquatches, and this position extends to active discouragement of discovery on occasion in certain circumstances. -

I am breaking my response into sections. Well if you think Meldrum is respected outside of the world of Bigfoot? Go over to the JRF and talk to them about it. For us old timers? They used to be right here in the BFF…. And would have no problem letting you know what they think about him. Basically he is a charlatan that makes money on pseudo science. In fact I have watched Meldrum call out Kitakaze in person. We finally just swung the ban hammer on that crowd because they would be eating you feet first right now for defending him. UFOs. Sigh…. I am using UFOs as a parallel example of how Government covers stuff up. No. I am not saying Scotty is beaming up Bigfoot. I am saying that the Government covers things up. I have provided proven examples of the government covering things up. Here is your problem Backdoc. You have came to a conclusion and you’re working backwards. You cannot conceive of any idea why the Government would cover up Bigfoot…..so no coverup. That’s not logical. Possible reasons? 1) It’s the missing link. I won’t get into religion or evolution here. But it’s a super loaded contentious topic. Google is your friend. 2) Missing 411. Lots of people missing under mysterious circumstances. If a large ape man is responsible for some of missing, that the government claims doesn’t exist? Do you think people have a case for a lawsuit against the federal government? 3) Huntsters position. If Bigfoot turns out to be a member of the genus Homo? Are we signing a treaty? Making reservations? Do they get human rights? Maybe the government doesn’t want to open that can of worms. -

You claimed the Government is incompetent. But nothing you have said refutes what I said in defense of it, and you even rambled on about how successful the moon landing was.🤷♂️ I am talking about defending our borders! Which includes SURVEILLANCE! The ability to track targets in pitch black. Our Federal assets are highly competent at this…. Here is proof. -

I have read with Neanderthals it was as high as 80% meat. With the short growing window in ice age Europe? They probably got berries, nuts and tubers during the short summer. Hominids don’t hibernate. So in the great north where winter is at least 6 months long? What does Bigfoot do? -

Hominids are not or have ever been straight carnivores . This may correlate to bigfoots and game animals . I dunno. - Yesterday

No. Bears don’t seem to have the same effect. In fact if you go through my trail cam section? I think I have a deer and a bear in the same picture. -

MIB replied to CatskillCrawler's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Again, I don't believe there's a conspiracy for secrecy because I do not know of anyone in any branch of any government who could prove bigfoot existed if they wished to. However, if there were a secret, the reason for keeping it secret is simply because at this late date, proving that there had ever been a secret would fuel the question of what other secrets might still be kept. As before, there may be very compartmentalized knowledge within government, same as some of us have outside of government, but it almost certainly falls in the realm of personal conviction, not the realm of proof. .. but wait, you said What proof do you offer that this has happened? Question 1 is the massive truth bomb that many aren't ready to accept. They are so far out there as a species that it would change our understanding of the world, just like aliens. There is no other reason to keep it quiet. -

Questions for all: 1) What issue about Bigfoot would need to be so secret people in power would be willing to kill to keep it quiet? 2) Who specifically are "THEY" ? Questions for Daniel Perez, Bill Munns, Anna Nikaris, Jeff Meldrum, and so on. How you ever been threatened by "THEY" to keep quiet about Bigfoot? That is, has anyone ever threatened you to stop investigating or speaking about Bigfoot. -
I Know I'm Beating A Dead Horse But Bigfoot Deserves Better
Backdoc replied to CatskillCrawler's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Nope. I am taking everything on a case-by-case basis. Then I will call balls and strikes. We can all agree those who planned the moon landing were competent in that the Saturn V never failed and all 12 men who landed on the moon got home safe. Home run! We could find further examples are great achievements under government direction and competency. We could find all kinds of examples where the government was incompetent. We have to determine that in each instance in its own way based on the goal and the ability to achieve the goal. Back to this issue here: If we are to assume our government has secret knowledge about Bigfoot, then to keep it secret it must have some interest or need to keep it secret. Yet, bigfoot is everywhere as I previously pointed out. So, for the issue of THEY keep things quiet they are completely incompetent. Finally, we once again have to specifically define who is "THEY" Please define specifically who THEY are. I am happy to consider it. Who are they? Who funds them? How many are there? Where do they appear in the budget? Why specifically do they exist to keep the knowledge of Bigfoot quiet? You will not get any argument from me on the concept our government for national defense reasons might use all kinds of tactics to keep things quiet. I just don't think Bigfoot arises to that level of concern. Most people understand the general "science" consensus is- at present time -Bigfoot is UNPROVEN. Some might think Bigfoot is real, some don't, and some think it is possible. Yet, the consensus for now is bigfoot is an unproven creature. As far as Meldrum is concerned, his reputation has increased over time. Even these hardliners who appear on the Bigfoot shows like that Dr. Eric Began say to paraphrase. "We are not saying bigfoot can't exist and I would like it if it did exist from a science standpoint. There are times in history where we would think something doesn't exist only to later be found to be wrong. I am not saying Meldrum is right, but I have to respect that he is applying science to the subject in his study of Bigfoot. In a lot of ways Dr. Meldrum is brave" We have come a long way from when Grover Kranz said, "My university supports me in that they don't fire me for believing in bigfoot" Grover flat out said science won't accept bigfoot until we have a body. We are now to a point these science 'skeptics' will appear on a Bigfoot show and now become open minded. In one of his Youtube presentations Meldrum made it clear science of the 1960's REQUIRED the rejection of Bigfoot based on the linear model as the accepted A - Z path of evolution. This is why those who looked at the 1967 PGF were essentially trained Patty HAD to be a man in a suit since science said something like Bigfoot couldn't exist. After 1970's and 1980s fossil discoveries science was open to the fact you could have multiple lines of evolution in their model. I think Meldrum is respected. Time has been good to him in this way and other academics who proposed Bigfoot could be real. Anyone who thinks the Stanford walking study HURT Meldrum's reputation in the science world is wrong. UFO's have nothing to do with bigfoot unless you are part of the group of people who happen to think UFOs are Aliens and Bigfeet ARE those, Aliens. As far and James Randi is concerned, Randi just holds the position of the state of Missouri: SHOW ME. He is more of an extreme skeptic than I might be if I was one. Yet, Randi has done a good job exposing people claiming certain powers like Geller and his spoon bending. I don't agree with all his conclusions, but Randi would not reject a Bigfoot body on a slab. I think if I had a highly classified secrets and was going public with it some military arm of the USA would silence me. Is that naive? Unless you can come up with a reason people would be willing to kill for (and continue to kill for ) regarding Bigfoot I would suggest keeping bigfoot secret makes no sense. If we could not exploit Santa's skillset the USA would stop him. Agreed -

I have an Elk herd that comes through the Newport property about every month. It’s 60 acres and they don’t hang around for more than a couple of days. And I have seen the same herd 10 miles from my house. Deer are a little less wandering. But when a predator is on the trail camera? It can shut down any action for weeks to months. -

Just pondering. Would deer and elk stick around a hundred acre forest breeding ground of 800 pound omnivorous ape men? I mean ,do deer and elk clear out when a 800 pound bear is in that hundred acre area? -
