Why is the Forest Service and BLM so quiet about Bigfoot?
Will replied to georgerm's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
The wolves are an even better argument for you to make. I have been following closely what Colorado has done and how stupid it is. Certainly by allowing a certain electorate to vote on wildlife management laws. Did you know they don’t even allow foothold traps? And only two coyotes per day? Do they really think a coyote is gonna go in a box trap? Lol But the fact is if that land was locked up and it had vast amounts of oil and the price at the pump climbed significantly like it has, it wouldn’t continue. And that’s my whole point. I don’t think it’ll ever get to that level….if they even recognize this creature. They’re not gonna lock up the entire state of Alaska, so it can frolic. Causing the elimination any drilling or mining of fossil fuels, along with rare earth minerals or even gold. Sure these groups will try and maybe a certain political party will support it because they need high fossil fuel prices but it would be turned around. Either by the courts or the legislatures. - Today

As has already been said there’s plenty of land set aside for this beast to frolic. Not only that, they seem to be able to live anywhere. I would imagine once we make friends with them we won’t be able to keep them away from our dumpsters! Though with the way some people vote in this country, I can see the possibility of welfare Bigfeet. They’ll be the new homeless. The spotted owl is a great example, all the hoopla went away when they found it nesting in a Kmart sign. Of course it was never nesting in a Kmart sign, they set land aside for it, specifically old growth forest and then to the surprise of the officials, the old barred owl moved in and started killing them off. Then they thought, let’s kill off the barred owl maybe the spotted owl will have a chance. Well, that didn’t work, so now it’s functionally extinct. My main opinion is that once any of these things start affecting people’s pocketbooks by locking up our natural resources, people are not gonna stand for it. As has been mentioned there’s plenty of land, vast acreage already set aside. Besides, apparently Bigfoot can live anywhere. 🤷♂️ -

I agree there needs to be a body. I’m just fascinated that a body can even be considered when there isn’t any definitive evidence, even with all this technology for the past 10 years. Is that not striking to you? I’ve been coming on this site for 20+ years and still nothing. We’ve gone from disposable cameras to some of the best camera and video equipment, then infrared and cheap night vision. Remember what night vision used to cost? First generation, second generation, third generation! And still nothing…. I do think there’s something to this big hairy beast, but I have yet to see or hear of a good explanation of what this is and why the government continues to keep it under wraps. It’s the same with aliens. We all know they exist, but it is still kept in secret -

I consider much of our media evidence good. It’s not a bear or a human in a cheap Gorilla costume. So what is it? Regardless no matter how elusive it is? Only physical evidence will settle the matter. And no matter how good our media evidence is? It will never be good enough. -
Julie and Alan will be coming on. Julie writes "In 1989, I married a service member, and he received a TAD school assignment to 29 Palms, California. In October of that year, when I was about five months pregnant, we left the East Coast and moved to California. We rented a house on the hill going into the Yucca Valley National Monument. It was a beautiful house, and we thought we were very lucky to find such a nice place at a reasonable price. The house had two bedrooms and a really large, open den filled with windows that offered an amazing view of 29 Palms and the surrounding area at night. We put our five-year-old daughter in one bedroom. The other bedroom had a terrible coldness to it, so we basically used it as a cooler. We set up our bedroom in the open den area instead. We had been there about a month when things took a crazy turn. The desert gets cold at night, so we had the natural gas tank filled to use for heat and bought wood for the fireplace, which we kept on the adjoining carport. Within about a week, all the gas was gone from the tank. We called the realtor, and they sent out a crew to check for a gas leak, but none was found. They refilled the tank, only for it to be empty again a week later. Then the toilet started overflowing, and this God-awful, filthy water began coming up into the bathtub and sinks. We called the realtor again, and they sent out a crew to snake the drain lines. They eventually tore up the backyard looking for possible tree roots or anything else that might be interfering with the drainage. Nothing was found. Then the lights started turning themselves on and off. The oven would shut off on its own. It was crazy. We called the realtor again, and they sent out an electrician. He called me out back to where the electrical lines were attached to the house at the meter. He pointed at the lines and asked, "Ma'am, do you see the lines?" I told him I did. He shook his head, kind of laughed, and said, "This house should not have power. It isn't connected to the meter at all." He was right. It wasn't connected. The guy grabbed his gear, said, "Nope," and left. I stood there completely amazed. When my husband came home, I showed him what the electrician had found. He told me to contact the realtor, but they never sent another electrician. Not long after that, our daughter woke us up screaming. When we got to her, she told us that the Indian man was going to get her. This became a nightly occurrence, and eventually, we moved her into the den with us. My husband would also wake up screaming and fighting, saying he was being attacked by a giant black bear. There are so many other things that happened inside and outside that house. I would love to tell you more about those experiences, as well as a strange ball of light encounter I had about two years ago on the property where I currently live. My husband saw it, too." Vast tracts of federal lands are already locked up in almost all sasquatch habitat (densely forested and high rainfall) west of the Mississippi River. And federal land management authorities already limit public access in almost countless ways and for countless reasons on said lands. For example, the Six Rivers National Forest, where the PGF was filmed, is closed to all access during the winter, when snows best capture trackways. Why? To reduce the threat of the Port Orford Cedar root disease spreading on your boots and tires. Then there are sporadic closures during summer due to fire threat. They don't need rare ape men to justify closures. They can close vast regions at will and use any of a billion reasons to justify it. Most military lands are closed simply due to unexploded ordnance danger. -

You could be correct. I’m just watching current reality. The last election and I know we’re not supposed to do politics here but the last election was mostly driven by high fuel costs. I know this because I’m a Farmer and I heard from a lot of other farmers. So once vast tracks of federal ground is locked up and we can’t get to our natural resources, I doubt the vast majority are going to be concerned about the hairy ape that is seen behind the dumpster, as fuel prices go through the roof. Not to mention Lumber and everything else made with rare minerals. -

I think you're naively optimistic .. we are much more willing to be self-destructive (and pompously, righteously so) than you seem to realize. The courts do not care about the survival of the country .. at all. Where juries are in charge, where emotions drive decisions, the notion that anything can be "other than exactly as I want it" does not have a seat at the table. You have to truly believe there is a realistic risk before that sort of thinking comes into play. It won't until it is far too late to matter. -

I don’t think it’s possible to lock up a vast amount of natural resources putting the survival of a nation at risk. Even for BF. Obviously courts are willing to give small victories to crazy people. Plus, many times these court cases don’t go further because it isn’t worth fighting. Someone has to pay for it. Either side has benefited from the cost calculation. -

Is that a serious question? When decisions are made in courts by juries rather than being made by professional managers, a lot of really dumb things happen. We've had any number of post-fire salvage timber sales here blocked by court decisions when the environmental groups sued USFS and timber companies in federal court. Expecting anything rational once the courts are involved in emotional issues is pretty nuts once you've seen how things really happen. :( It doesn't matter anymore what you can prove or disprove, when it gets to court, all that matters is feelings, not science. -

According to some we have an impending environmental disaster due to burning fossil fuels, why would any ground be locked up over an elusive creature that can go anywhere? One that no one can seem to produce a single photo of or physical evidence. I suppose getting physical evidence of one of these things would be on the same level as finding a little green man. Maybe it would be even more incredible since we seem to have decent photos of the ships that little green men fly in. -

There’s never been a single good picture. There’s pictures and video of just about every facet of life. There is more cameras in the woods, more people in the woods with all kinds of technology for night vision, infrared vision, it’s extraordinary what is available. Yet STILL not a single photo. So yeah, I think it would do a lot of good. Yeah because now everything is easily faked. But if you can’t get a single good photo or video, even with the incredible technology they have now and so much of it, I’m not sure how you’re ever gonna get any physical evidence. Physical evidence is even more elusive than a good picture. -

Well they don't want any more colonizers laying claim to anything. The Dorset people disappeared and the Inuit moved in. Probably because of 1st contact with the Vikings brought small pox. Its just to bad that the truth is a casualty in this debacle. I have a sneaking suspicion that contact between the old world and the new world is much older than anyone thinks. -

yes, and since the courts overrule the professional land managers who are just trying to do their jobs managing ecosystems, lock-up via court mandate is the most probable outcome. -
