  2. Published in The Times Leader of Wilkes-Barre (PA) on September 26, 1874. Timothy Renner's Bigfoot in Pennsylvania has an article run by a Pittsburgh paper 2 days earlier which appears to be the same as this one.
  3. Recounted in History of Morrow County and Ohio, published in 1880, which is available online through the Library of Congress at https://www.loc.gov/item/rc01002348/. Included in SASQUATCH/BIGFOOT CHRONICLE & Other Unrecognized Relict Hominoids & Wild Men Earliest Reports to 1899 by Christopher L. Murphy (Unpublished). I left some of the preceding and following information in to provide context. Was it a human skeleton, though?
  4. I skipped several stories where the term "wild man" was used as a adjective to describe a human in unrelated stories (for example, gun-running to Cuba) or which simply said, "the wild man was seen near X." The first story is also from the August 7, 1896 edition of the Sun-Journal of Lewiston, Maine. This one noting the wild man's absence is from August 28th. The story kept fading away, with a sighting on September 21, 1896 and theorizing in October that the wild man had moved north.

  11. Okay, so my long winded two cents is this and as I said in another thread; If this was a hoax, where is the costume? If it was that good and undoubtedly revolutionary in design and realism, then why would they destroy it or let it be lost? Any good con man would keep such an article around to keep milking the public. Cripes, look at Fraud Standing and his abysmal fakes. Everyone with half a brain cell can see his evidence is as phony as a football bat but that doesn't keep him from parading it out for whatever publicity he can get. By all accounts Patterson was an opportunist. So why didn't he keep that suit working for more such amazing film and press? You can't tell me something as good as that would be allowed to be lost or disposed of out of fear. As for Meldrum saying something big was coming, perhaps he was NOT talking about it being proven a hoax, but rather this film would stir up a detrimental controversy and set BF research back several years. Maybe he knew the powers that be would be working to suppress evidence or muddy up the waters. What about Gimlin? Has anyone gotten his reaction to this yet? I'd be real interested to see his reaction to it and what his response would be. I can't honestly think anyone involved would be worried about legal repercussions as we've seen hoaxes before and nothing of substance has happened to the hoaxers. Hell, if it was a hoax, they could make even more money writing books and making appearances talking about how they pulled it off over so many years. Could this be people just tired of dealing with it and deciding the best way to get bigfooters off their backs and make a little cash is to **** in everybody's punchbowl and call it a hoax? Or even simpler, it is just a way to get a bit of money and be sensationalistic to feed the machine? Because....why now? Why now are they choosing to make this revelation at this time? Why not 5 years ago or 10? It seems over 10 years ago I read a book, forget the title, about it being a hoax and people who knew Patterson at the time talked about seeing the suit in a box in a trunk and how they all knew what was up but had reasons for keeping quiet. I didn't let it eat at me. But you are forced to keep a open mind to the possibility. And after reading Munns book, and others, I leaned further into it being legit. I agree that too many people have seen and heard Sasquatches and collected enough evidence that they more than likely exist. I also know that until we have at least two bodies, the mystery will always be with us. I've always felt the footage was real. But I will admit, now there is that kernel of doubt. And that is sad. It's akin to seeing your dad stuff your stocking at Christmas when you're a kid.
  12. At the end of the day though, proportions, analysis, and other units of measurements or what not to determine if the PGF is authentic doesn't mean anything. It's just a bunch of guys doing the best they can to come up with compelling arguments as to why it authentic. I was actually kinda happy Bob Gymlan (the BiGFo0T content creator on youtube) took a shot at thinkerthunker because of thinkerthunkers methods of analysis using horizonal lines and stuff to measure proportions. Which is fine, but youtube videos analysis doesnt prove the PGF is real nor does anyone else's methods. They're just compelling arguments and thats all they are. I dont know who it was but someone claimed Patty was 7'4" at least. NO ONE knows how tall Patty is/was.
  13. "O Ye of Little Faith." We have the answers in our midst. Go back to the BFF 1.0 and review the analysis and discussions about Patty's proportions, including calculations, related to that. I am fortunate to have followed them daily, in real time, watching issue after issue unfold and then be addressed with calculations. It was a true pleasure. I believe Gigantofootecus first posted his observations about Patty's proportions in November 2005. He used photogrammetric calculations to arrive at his conclusions. Anyone claiming PGF is a hoax has to get past those calculations--good luck, you better brush up on cosecant-squared theta, you'll definitely need it. Absolutely fascinating work to formulate his conclusions. Then came Bill Munns with his detailed treatise which methodically examined every aspect of Patty's body in the PGF from head to toe. He left no stone unturned with his stunning and detailed work viewed from the perspective of an expert in filming and suit construction. There probably is no one who knows more about the PGF than he. Then, SwetiYeti painstakingly presented his elbow/arm proportion analysis. It's all there for everyone to view. There is no new video that can undo the spectacular work nor refute the conclusions heretofore by BFF members with respect to the PGF, in my opinion.
  14. Bob Gimlin’s reported confession can’t be ignored it would be the final nail in the coffin. I have to see it for myself though.
  15. In this episode, we delve into the remarkable experiences of Holly Burns, psychic, from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, who shares her ongoing encounters with the Sasquatch people across the Upper Midwest. Living near a network of wooded corridors and rural landscapes, Holly describes how her interactions began to intensify over the past few years, leading to repeated activity near her property and nearby wilderness areas. From unusual gifting exchanges and food interactions to large footprints appearing in deep snow, Holly recounts moments that have steadily strengthened her belief that a Sasquatch clan lives closer to civilization than many would expect. Holly also shares a series of late-night sightings that left a lasting impression, including a moment when glowing eyes watched from the tree line and a brief video she captured during one of these encounters. Her experiences extend beyond Minnesota as well, with surprising discoveries in places like Utah and Wisconsin that suggest these beings travel along natural corridors stretching far beyond a single location. Along the way, Holly reflects on the intelligence and awareness she believes these beings possess and the unusual ways they communicate with those who notice them. Her story offers a detailed look into what it might be like to live near a Sasquatch clan while slowly building a connection with something rarely seen and even more rarely understood Join us as we explore Holly’s ongoing journey in Minnesota and the growing mystery surrounding Sasquatch activity in places many people pass through every day without ever realizing what might be watching from the woods. 18. It's neither here nor there, but I'd like to again point out Heironomous claims he was to be paid $1000 for his supposed stroll in a bigfoot costume. That's a ridiculously high sum of money.
  19. Last Friday night I was having a wonderful dinner at an Italian restaurant when I text rolled in from a number I could not identify: " I think I saw a bigfoot and I heard your the person to talk to. This is Zac In Jack's's backyard" I will admit to being very confused at first and showed it to my wife. She figured out that Zac was the 13 year old kid living to our left and Jack was his best friend that lived in the house to our right and that he has a bigfoot . 3-4 years ago Jack's dad told me about a weird encounter he had walking down the road very late at night. I explained it was probably a bigfoot and I explained to him my history with them over the last 25 years. The next day he and his two kids explored the woods behind our houses and finds what looks to be a very crude hunting blind and maybe nest built a few yards away from a downed tree. The kids turned the blind (basically 6 stacked limbs against a very large downed tree) in to a fort that basically resembled a large Teepee complete with tarp, kind of a door, and adorned with a deer antler. They played with it for a year or two before moving on to other things leaving their fort abandoned and slowly falling a part. I am very familiar with this area as I exercise my dogs in this little slither of woods separating 4 houses from a lake. The next morning after receiving the text I looked around the woods to see if there was any evidence of a bigfoot as I was skeptical (the actual time of the year is perfect, but a sighting at that time of the day in the open is unprecedented) and figured it was a bear coming out of hibernation. There were a couple of things out of place but that could have been anything and my dog picked up nothing. And then I saw the fort had been completely redesigned in to 3 separate blinds. One facing up the woods, one facing down the woods, and the third facing the lake. All very neatly placed with an easy ingress and egress and some interesting engineering. The log holding the lake-facing blind had been moved to that position as it was the main support log in the center of the teepee. What do y'all think of the fort turned hunting blind? To be continued.

  21. Roger Patterson burnt the alleged suit because he wanted to get rid of evidence but felt the need to keep the rehearsal Film, which is claimed he himself filmed lolololololololololz yeah, the logic is starting to make complete sense..
  22. The beauty of the PGF is that, it doesn’t provide any proof that Sasquatch is real, but it can’t be disproven either. The film is inconclusive. And that’s what makes it great. Both sides can only make claims. Nothing so far has been definitive
  23. I’m just trying to follow the claims the other side is making. For decades it was claimed by Bob H that he was the one in the suit and his what, 2005 recreation of it in a very inferior looking suit isn’t convincing. Now there’s this other guy, DeAtley, who I’ve never heard of in BiGFO0Tery, is a person the other side is claiming to be in the rehearsal suit.
  24. I am a believer in Sasquatch but I can’t outright say that the PGF isn’t some fat dude in a latex, skin tight suit with ape looking hair on it. If anything suit in the late 60’s could be superior than today’s stuff since people actual did a quality job back then With that said, Pattys right pectoral muscle twitch, flex, and movement as she turned to look at the camera looks genuine muscle fiber moving and on a large relic hominid creature and not something faked. You see bodybuilders make those pec flexes especially in side chest poses. I can do it to.
  25. Was it a suit? What did Gimlin say? Was it a full confession? That’s the only thing that would seal Patty’s fate in my mind I don’t trust the mystery film it could have been made after Patty and the date is just the freshness date when it was manufactured?
  26. Just answered my own question. The claims are that DeAtley was in the 40 second rehearsal and Bob H was in the actual 1967 PGF. I’m just trying to follow the claims.
  27. So who was in the suit? Bob heroinimois or Deatley?
  28. Yes people were saying that picture in the trailer was from the mystery 1966 film. It was not it’s a frame from the PGF with filters applied to it.
