  12. Mike thought he was watching a bear outside a remote cabin in the mountains of North Georgia. Then he noticed the hand. About ten years ago, Mike was staying alone near Elijay, Georgia, where his stepfather had been dealing with an animal getting into a deer feeder. One morning around 9:15, Mike finally saw something feeding outside. He watched from the cabin window as the encounter unfolded only 30 yards away. The longer Mike looked, the harder it became to explain what he was seeing. A hand. A face. An unusual brow. Massive shoulders. Dark brown hair. For a moment, he wondered if a hunter wearing a ghillie suit had wandered onto the property. Mike kept what happened that morning to himself for years. In this episode of Bigfoot Society, he finally walks Jeremiah through the experience in detail—the distances, the physical features he remembers, his attempts to identify what was outside the cabin, and the reason this encounter eventually returned to the surface nearly a decade later. This is Mike's firsthand account from the mountains near Elijay, Georgia. 📖 Follow Jeremiah's cancer health updates here: https://www.caringbridge.org/site/569ef3d3-68be-11f1-8790-97fdfd2bbc64 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? Bigfoot myth or monster?

Thanks, georgerm. I do try to be civil and Norse has a great deal of pertinent, real life experience and knowledge regarding Science and primate biology. We just have a fundamental difference: kill vs no-kill. (That's been going on for decades. lol) I never meant to hi-jack your thread and I think it's a really good one! I will only add that Monsters, by definition, are imaginary or mythical. I don't really agree with that definition because I think there are definitely Monsters on Earth, but we do need a standard of Semantics (as Norse pointed out) that we can either agree on, or that we are forced to accept either way. Bigfoot are scary, no doubt about that. Humans are very scary too, we are The Alpha predator. We can (and probably should) kill anything that threatens us without cause. But, given a choice not to kill Bigfoot just in order to convince Science (and to convince people who know everything already anyway) seems like the best approach to me.

    Bigfoot myth or monster?

I have been on my feet for about 18 hours. Very tired. But just some quick thoughts. I feel super strongly that Bigfoot doesn’t deserve to be a mythological monster. It deserves to be a scientific classified species recognized by everyone. It does not take a deceased male and female Bigfoot to prove the species exists. Albeit that would be a slam dunk example. But a Holotype and Allotype will be taken AFTER discovery. Science isn't going to be happy with a pinky bone or a tooth with a living, breathing species. How science comes into possession of type specimens typically is through several different means. The type specimens are already in the museum collection. Type specimens are found in the bush meat trade. Type specimens are found in remote regions of Earth. And rarely type specimens are found in our back yards.

Repairing more dozer line. Got a 1 inch of rain Saturday night. Definitely knocked down the fire. Herd of Mule deer walked right past the Peterbilt today.

  19. As reported in The Midland Reporter-Telegram of Midland (TX) on March 14, 1957, Slick's second expedition took quite some time to actually begin searching. They also survived a bus accident as reported in the Claremore (OK) Daily Progress on March 21, 1957. And the The Webb City (MO) Sentinel stated on March 21, 1957 that the Nepalese government had passed a law prohibiting capture of the yeti.
  20. Published in The Capital Journal of Salem (OR) on October 2, 1978. When I published the earlier newspaper article (from a South Dakota paper) in which researchers called a reported Iowa encounter a hoax, I couldn't find articles about the underlying report. This article came up while searching for incidents in Washington.

    Bigfoot myth or monster?

Wow, xspider1 and Norseman. What a debate that has been civil and neither party has backed down even during the most intense language at proving bigfoot is a real monster. It seems both of you have proved bigfoot is a monster. Seems like most of the audience has backed off while you two have carried on a debate that would heat metal to the bending point. One of the main points that is still not clear is does it take a deceased bigfoot male and female body to prove the existence of bigfoot? Do we agree bigfoot is a real living animal and a new species? Does DNA make the distinction between myth and real living monster? Presently what is the status of bigfoot ............................. myth or monster? Has enough evidence been brought forth for proof of the bigfoot with its own species name? What is the present status of bigfoot? Some claim bigfoot is a myth that can disappear and is abducted by aliens and delivered to Earth's forest.

  26. Note: This is the original version of the interview with 8 minutes that were cut for the public. If you like me chit chatting at the beginning then you'll like this. A former MUFON investigator went to Oakridge, Oregon searching for answers. One night outside her cabin, something came out of the darkness and headed straight toward her. In this episode of Bigfoot Society, Patti Valvo shares what happened during an investigation that took her deep into some of the most active and mysterious locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Oregon. Near Oakridge, Patti heard unexplained knocks along the edge of the Willamette National Forest and experienced small objects landing near her as she walked back toward the cabin. Then came the encounter that sent her running—a brilliant ball of light descending near the forest and rapidly closing the distance behind her. Patti also takes us to Sparks Lake, where she documented enormous barefoot impressions near the water, and Waldo Lake, where strange tree formations added another layer to an area already connected to disturbing eyewitness reports. Her journey also includes Area X in Southeast Oklahoma, Board Camp Crystal Mine in Arkansas, a remote property near Lake Thunderbird experiencing unexplained vocalizations and animal activity, and an unsettling discovery beside a creek in an undisclosed location. This is a journey through Bigfoot country with a former UFO investigator who started asking questions about what might be happening in the forests—and found herself experiencing things she still cannot explain. 📖 Follow Jeremiah's cancer health updates here: https://www.caringbridge.org/site/569ef3d3-68be-11f1-8790-97fdfd2bbc64 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience?
