Survivorman back at the search for Sasquatch
Huntster replied to NorCalWitness's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
Consider yourself blessed. Few things are as elusive, rare, and consequential as sasquatches. LOL.............if you don't know of government secrets, that means they were successful, so are you saying that everything the government wants secret has been outed? This is a very reasonable position..........except for one thing: Their attitude. They absolutely refuse to keep records of reports (even on their lands which they manage with a fine toothed comb), and their almost complete silence about the issue, only speaking on terms of joking. Sorry. That literally screams of suspicion. Do you remember what happened to Les when he last ran afoul of the National Park Service in Alaska...............which also happened to be the trip which featured his first experience with a suspected sasquatch? Yup. I'd love to see such a video. It won't prove anything, but I'd love to see it. -

I believe an end-around play can work against government, too................ An end-around play can most certainly work against denialists. In fact, those bozos should be simply ignored. -

Survivorman back at the search for Sasquatch

You see a government I don't see. How could it be so many other things come out but somehow that same government keeps Bigfoot quiet? They are not successful in keeping a long list of things quiet, but man are they great at keeping Bigfoot quiet. Not only does this not make any sense as the government has such a bad track record on secrecy. The other issue is the idea Bigfoot as an issue would rise to a level of importance to go to such extremes to keep it quiet. Sure, people can believe that as long as they imagine an extreme reason which would raise Bigfoot to that level. An effort the government might go to threaten, jail or kill someone about UFO's or national security issues is not the same level Bigfoot would be as a concern. The more likely thing is simple science sees Bigfoot as an unproven something. Until its proven the government's position goes along with the science position. Then they move on to other concerns until they have a body. Now since the thread involves Survivorman and not government conspiracies, I am saying if Les/ Survivorman got a great Home Run video of Bigfoot beyond the PGF but with modern equipment it would be a needle mover. See this brief video. Imagine whatever criteria you need to define a home run video satisfied. I would say this video shows a young deer coming into this person's yard. It doesn't have to be proof just a video good enough to takes Bigfoot away from being a joke. A home run video would 1) Open up conversation for further study. 2) More formally on-the-fence and closet believing scientists would become 100s of the new Jeff Meldrum's based on the video. May not be 100,000 but it would be more than we have now. - -

As you've already pointed out, the government won't allow this to come out. Imagine the logistics that go into getting a body out to the public. It's pretty much impossible if the government doesn't want it out. There is already plenty of hair samples that have been collected and submitted to science. It's done nothing. You are correct when you say that a video will just be called a hoax by people. No matter the quality. -

Their content is starting to be very repetitive. I thought Eli Watson's work was a nice change of pace from their usual interview style documentaries, but he hasn't made anything for them in a long time. I still tune in but they really need to bring some variance to the table. -

I think a Home Run level video would convince most especially in the hands of someone they respected. Imagine some scenario with Les or someone hunting for Bigfoot GETS that physical evidence. I assume we are talking about a body as the physical evidence. -

I watched it yesterday. First, I generally really like the work STM does, but this one was....pretty weak on content. I understand the intent, but it could have been folded into another segment. Just my not so humble opinion. -

It will have five minutes of fame before it hits the trash heap of Bigfoot videos experts regard as hoaxes. Only physical evidence will do. -
Tracks found near Ruby creek, Pend Oreille county Wa
norseman replied to norseman's topic in General Bigfoot Discussion
This is a Grizzly Bear in this neck of the woods. About as big as it gets here. This Griz was across the Pend Oreille River from Ruby creek. I think the alleged Bigfoot tracks are wider. And they certainly have a bipedal long gait compared to the Griz. Threw my tape up on a cast I have at the house and it’s 7 inches wide. The other tell tale sign is that Bears toes are on a radius. Longest somewhere in the middle. Where as humans and Bigfoot have a big toe that arcs down to a pinky toe. The Ruby creek tracks look like a Bigfoot or Human toe structure to me. IMHO. -

New York 1885 - Wild Man Terrorizes Long Island
Trogluddite posted a topic in More Historical Newspaper Archives
Published in the Wilkes-Barre (PA) Union Leader on December 04, 1885, this article recounts two wild men in New York. The first, near Peekskill, sounds human, but the second had two sharp teeth that hung over his underlip and left immense footprints. -

Survivorman or whomever search for Sasquatch. We need to keep in mind they may actually FIND Sasquatch. This leads to another Q. Once something is out in the public domain it becomes nearly FREE as social media exist to help it spread like wildfire. When it isn't free it is still near impossible for the owner of the legal rights to get the Geni back in the bottle. (hello 1990s/2000s Napster) If Les or someone actually got a Home Run video of Bigfoot what should be the next step. Sell it as a TV special? Release it on the internet? Could you really cash in? It would seem cashing in would require some way to limit access or control the images. Say Les had a modern PGF event. The video is top notch. The trackway is fully documented. That would have a value beyond just the historic value. In 1967 America we know Roger Patterson only had a few venues to sell or cash in on Bigfoot. To see it the public had to buy it. To see it one TV you had no VCR to record it. Les may look for Bigfoot. What if he finds Bigfoot? Then what? -

Pennsylvania 1949-1950 - Schuylkill County (and Environs) Mystery Animal - Tirademan!
Trogluddite posted a topic in More Historical Newspaper Archives
As always, it's unclear whether these relate to the news article Tirademan found in 2004. However, there was a small flurry of reports concerning mystery animals in eastern Pennsylvania. Most appeared to be felines, unfortunately. The first report is from 1949; the next 1950. In 1951, a knowledgeable outdoorsman and state game officials pooh-poohed the idea of large wild felines in eastern Pennsylvania. -
