Hello, everyone! I’m excited to join this group and be able to converse with like minded people, and gain knowledge as I go!

I'm fascinated by Homo floresiensis, the "Hobbit" prehistoric human species discovered recently. I believe there's a strong possibility that reports of Orang pendak could have an association with perhaps a remnant population of "Hobbits." What we currently know about Homo floresiensis is that they have a really strange conglomerates of physical characteristics. Could they have been a dwarf species of Homo erectus? or could they be something even more strange? Gutsick Gibbon, her real name Erika, has the 2nd most popular paleo-anthropology channel on YouTube. Here, she digs deeper into the question of just what the Hobbit really was.

I do not want Bigfoot in a zoo. Bigfoot to me is an unproven creature. Science shares that same view. I'm with Grover Kranz who said we need a body and Grover was packing heat. He said the first guy to kill one would get an award. The second guy would get the eclectic chair. Since it is an unproven creature, I can make peace with killing the first one as tragic as it would be. As far as the Thylacine or any other extinct but KNOWN animal I am not OK with shooting even one. We already drove the Thylacine to extinction. If there are a few out there, they deserve a chance to reverse what we caused. There is a difference between knowing you are doing something horrible vs doing something which might be determined horrible by mistake or good intentions. Good luck determining which is which.

...or there are no agenda or actions required by anybody. If there are very few of something and the terrain is hard to find those very few that accounts for very few legitimate sightings or reports. I say legit as some of those sightings could be a false storytelling, well-intentioned misidentification, and others. Even if all were legit sightings, those are still few in numbers vs the task to finding bigfoot. 1 needle in a large haystack is hard to find. 5,000 in that same haystack would be expected to be easy to find one. How many needles are out there? What size is the haystack? That may be enough to explain it.

Not so sure. Many whistleblowers have been threatened. And some scientists have disappeared. Is this a grassroots movement to get the truth to the public? Or some red flag event where the government is purposely leaking stuff while acting tough? Dunno. 1) No it wouldn’t. You can point to the child sized pilot chairs but mainstream Science will still want proof. The military is using scientists too. But they are not allowed to publish findings to peer reviewed publications. Part of science is now dark. And has been since the bomb. What else are they hiding in there? 2) Any scientist that can get their work published and accepted in a peer reviewed publication. But if your work happens to pertain with above top secret research? We know who the real boss is. Dr. Gary Nolan has stated they are building a retrieval team to beat the military out to these crash sites. All I can say is? Good Luck! 👀 You and I both agree something funky is going on with Bigfoot as well. Someone doesn’t want them discovered for what ever the reason.

Correct. But the propaganda pressure is on the public and increasing to accept their existence. Watch and see where that leads over the next couple of decades. Question #1: If a Bob Lazar described craft (or several) are truly in the possession of the U.S. Government in Nevada, would that negate the requirement for biological carcasses of male/female aliens in order to declare their existence? Question #2: Is there any particular individual who, if he/she publicly announced the existence of sasquatches or aliens, would then establish them into the record? Who, in the end, actually is "The Boss"?

No. Extinct species get a pass. Entire species are recognized by just a few bones. But not extant ones. They require two complete skeletons. One male and one female. They are extant because people allegedly see them walking around the forest. If they were extinct then no one would report them. It would be up to paleontologists to find them in a dig site. Like Denisovans. No. Aliens have not been proven to science. Scientists tell the government all the time to back up its claims with physical evidence. Of course aliens come with a bunch of national security risks. Like their technological advanced vehicles. Which is what the government hides behind. Science and government often times are at loggerheads. Because REAL science is about getting to truth. But human agendas are always getting in the way.

Ok, how do we know they are extant? I don't really get what Science requires I guess.. A pinky bone for one, a male and a female type specimen for the other? That doesn't seem reasonable but, you will probably tell me that Science doesn't care what is reasonable, they just demand what they must have before they go out on a limb. It's public opinion, their tenure, potential ridicule, problems at home, etc. that hold most of them back, in my opinion. When our Government released the 'UFO files' did that prove the existence of extra-terrestrial space craft to Science? Too many people just don't care about anything that they perceive as not directly affecting them, especially if it requires them to think.

It’s simply how scientific classification works. It’s your choice to participate or not. But regardless of who chooses to participate? Science will require one male and one female type specimen. It’s required for every extant species on the planet. Extinct species get a pass. Denisovans were discovered with a DNA extraction of a pinky bone. Allegedly they are extinct…. So if anyone here is collecting DNA samples? Or any evidence of this species? Just understand where it’s headed! I have my own theory as to why this hasn’t happened yet. I think the deep state is very happy with the arrangement currently of deny, obfuscation and ridicule. And so far science has fallen in line for the most part. And so we as a community are a bunch of delusional crackpots out in the forest looking for Pixies and Gnomes.🤷‍♂️

Those are totally valid points/questions. I think we can only speak for ourselves and, as for me: Success at looking for Bigfoot would be seeing one or more in a situation that provided undeniable confidence that I was seeing the creature(s) that have already been described thousands of times. The sighting would need to be unambiguous and, it would be great if there was at least one other person present so that, if nothing else, we could talk about it. (I had such an experience with a 'UFO' decades ago, but I was alone in my truck. I have always been grateful for that experience because it broadened my horizons, even though I can't say if it was an Alien spacecraft, or not. It was definitely an unidentifiable flying object, beyond the scope of anything that I can imagine to be man-made.) For others, perhaps the majority of the BFF membership, success only means one thing: Scientific Acceptance and Classification. I get that, but if a Bigfoot body on a slab is required and one cannot be obtained without deliberately killing one then, it would not be worth it, in my opinion. And, if I see a Thylacine, I'm not going to shoot that either. I would tell my story, just as I did with the UFO and as I would with Bigfoot then, whoever didn't believe me or, thought I was crazy, could take a long walk off a short bridge. lol

These reports first found on the Southern Oregon History website. The first story is from The Morning Call published in San Francisco (CA) on April 11, 1891. The second was attributed to the San Jose News. As I can't find that newspaper, I include the article as published on the Southern Oregon History website.

Pastor Rollin A. Swanson asked Roger, then on his deathbed, whether he believed in the reality of Bigfoot. If Roger had a guilty conscience about hoaxing the P-G film, this would have been the time to cleanse his soul. Instead, he unreservedly reaffirmed his belief that Bigfoot was a living creature. Pastor Swanson's letter to the editor was published in the Tri-City Herald of Pasco (WA) on April 22, 2016.
