A listener writes "My name is Timothy, and I want to say how much I enjoy your show and appreciate the work you do. I'm a Seminole Native American who grew up in South Florida, right next to the Everglades. Over the years, I've had several paranormal experiences. One of the most striking happened in April 2021, when I had a clear, close encounter no more than 15 yards away with what I believe was a Sasquatch, or what locals call a Skunk Ape. I was out riding my four-wheeler in the woods at the time. After that, I had a few more unusual experiences in the same area with friends, though I'm not entirely sure if those were related to Bigfoot. I've also been involved in what I later realized was a demon summoning ceremony, during which I experienced some disturbing paranormal activity. More recently, at the beginning of December, a friend and I heard a distinct wood knock, followed by the sound of something moving toward us from the other side of the woods. And just today, while riding along the reservation line, I came across a set of three-toed tracks. These experiences have stayed with me, and I thought they might be of interest to you." A local young family contacted me recently, after seeing the latest episode (#3) of Small Town Monsters - Sasquatch Quest, about getting to some of the sighting locations, so Thomas, MagniAesir, and I are taking them on a road trip to several of the sites along the west side of Harrison Lake tomorrow. They seem pretty excited about getting out there, so I hope we don't dissapoint them. Bill (MagniAseir) and I are in the planning stages of an epic late summer road trip from our homes near the southern border of BC all the way to the Arctic Ocean, at Tuktoyaktuk, NWT. We don't expect to encounter Sasquatch there, but we should see just about every other type of northern critter, moose, caribou, grizzly, maybe even muskox or polar bear. It's a bucket list trip for Bill, and I'm excited to come along!

@Madison5716 I don't get here very often, so just seeing that I was tagged now. To answer your question, my study is the place to send any potential physical samples. Jeff was sending samples to me before he passed, and every biological sample he still had in his lab that folks had previously sent to him is coming to me at NC State. It warms my heart that many people today now recognize the importance of a type specimen. I was kicked off the famous Blue Forum for my views. (BFRO) Back then it was just not kosher to hold such a view. And yet time marches on. And we are no closer despite many advancements and hard work by researchers. Any slightly curious scientist should be able to look at the foot tracks, nesting sites, video and audio clips and at least want to go look. Go take samples. It’s a low risk but high reward proposition. And yet the stigma is so strong? They would rather laugh and go about their business. Maybe Hiflier was right. Maybe we need to find an ally in government that can help shed some light on this mystery. I am confident that the government itself holds evidence that they are not willing to divulge. Just watched a podcast with Tim Alberino about the Kandahar Giant. It seems that this is also a secret that is safe guarded from the tax payer. Red hair and six fingers and six toes. It weighed 1100 lbs….. allegedly. Why the secrets? 🤷🏻‍♂️

^^^ What makes a convincing video? It seems like Bigfoot video evidence is a bit like Diamond Grading. Many things are near the same level of hardness. Yet Diamonds are in a class nearly by themselves not anywhere near everything else. For now- lacking a Body-I would say the Patterson Gimlin Film is the diamond. The Bigfoot community has offered their "Diamond", the PGF, to the public. That best effort to date is not convincing to most of the general public. Even those who believe in Bigfoot (20,30% 40% of the public?) are not all 100% sold separately the PGF being real. We need to accept the fact Science will not totally accept Bigfoot being real until they have 1) a dead body or 2) one in a cage in a zoo. We can like that or not but that is just the way it is. If Bob and Roger didn't ride out that day armed with a camera, they would just be two people relating a story. I am just thankful IF the PGF is a real event we have a good enough video to move the ball forward. Let's be happy we have come a long way from Peter Graves Mysterious Monsters. Sensationalism and been replaced by a somewhat more sensible discussion. We now have at least an effort made by Discovery, Nat Geo, Animal Planet and so on. These shows are very fair minded and at a level treat the subject reasonably if not classy.

We started out with this paragraph below and have diverged with good discussions with writers such as Norseman, Backdoc, Hunster and a few others. Later hair, more scientist observe it, and then motion picture evidence is brought in and the creature reaches higher up on the ladder of discovery which is now more difficult due to artificial intelligence or AI. Does artificial intelligence which raised the bar on photographic evidence. Possibly some creatures have reached step 9, yet a body or living speciment has not been brought in so it stays on step 9. When we put bigfoot on this ladder, a huge percentage of scientist with higher degrees in zoology agree that bigfoot is on what step? What's your opinion? What step do most credited biologist place bigfoot? What step do you place bigfoot and why?" original post" As Norseman stated, Canada's border is filmed and evidence of bigfoot is probably kept, but we don't know the results unless one country or the other offers this evidence to the public. However, proof of bigfoot has been mounting for years with several films of bigfoot being produced such as the "Snow Walker" or the distant view of bigfoot chasing a herd of deer like animals along open grassland. The Patterson Gimlin film is the icing on the cake since AI was not a factor then. Backdoc and Hunster seem to agree that there is some evidence that could be rated on the 1 to 10 scale of proof. However, as Norseman stated we have not reached a 10 when it comes to proof and a bigfoot on a slab is required. I did read a report and saw a sketch from Canada of a bigfoot that was shot and killed by a hunter. So far, we have fallen short of rating bigfoot proof as a 10 or absolute proof. However, there is great disagreement when it comes to how far proof has risen on a 1 to 10 scale. I venture to say we are on step 9 but the Forest Service seems to indicate we are on -1 and claims bigfoot is a mythical creature along with Daffy Duck. I bet the Forest Service has a few biologist who disagree but keep their jobs by remaining silent after monitoring this forum site. A few of them probably monitor this site but stay in the shadows.
