This. The federal government have agencies full of scientists, and their work and publications are government property. It may or may not be published. So if it isn't published, is it still Science? Is it still truth? We've been told that even the POTUS has been kept in the dark over many issues over the "need to know" doctrine. But if the POTUS learns that aliens exist, and he/she announces it, does it make it so? If not, why not? Who then looks into the POTUS's claim and verifies it? Until they fall into one category or the other, they don't fall into either. And, if they are never classified, they will never fall into either category. So, I think you are putting the cart before the horse. I read your post (and certainly not trying to call you out, especially since you graciously run the show here and participate intelligently, probably more than anyone else.) But, I still have not seen any indication that a full skeleton of both a male and a female Bigfoot would be required by Science.

Did Scientific classification of the Mountain Gorilla, finally, in 1902 cause World panic? Did millions of World Government employees conspire effectively to keep Mountain Gorillas a secret since the beginning of recorded history, up until 1902? Of course not. They were just an extraordinary discovery that required definitive proof before most people who had never seen one would 'believe'. As Backdoc has indicated (several times I think) there is no massive, coordinated conspiracy required for Bigfoot to exist and not yet be classified. How do you know they are intelligent? How do you know they are a threat? just wondering I am more scared of Black Widow spiders than Bigfoot although, they are very non-aggressive and I hope I never need to kill one. Unless there is no other viable option, Bigfoot, Black Widows and many other creatures are just too magnificent to kill, in my opinion.

Upon its death it would become THE type specimen. But my sneaking suspicion is that it’s coming in dead or not at all. But humans may die as well in the adventure regardless. Most scientists let native hunters do the dirty work and peruse bush meat markets for new species. They don’t have that option here.

No. Bigfoot would fall into either the extant or extinct category. But it’s a yet undiscovered species. A Lazarus species would be like a Coelacanth for example. Not saying that Bigfoot or a cousin isn’t represented in the fossil record. But absolutely not in North America regardless. They have no evidence of any ape species other than Homo Sapiens living in the Americas at any point in time. I think there is evidence to the contrary but thus far mainstream science has fought it tooth and nail. But now Clovis first is dead. What’s next? But this is a a main source of contention concerning Bigfoot. Where are the bones? And yet Homo Naledi was not on their radar until a cave expedition discovery. Same with the Hobbit…. The only way not to kill a Sasquatch is to find a similar cave full of bones. Get the species recognized that way. Type specimens would solidified and then they could go out and look for a living one to tranquillize and pull DNA from. If it’s a match? Then we are golden. It’s the same species. If that’s even feesable. I have my doubts. But short of a Rising Star Cave find? Science will want their pound of flesh. No matter if you’re collecting water, scat, hair, or a biopsy dart full of flesh. All roads lead to a type specimen upon scientific classification. Some animals like the pocket lemur they collect, let them live out their lives in captivity and then become type specimens upon natural death. Thats not happening with a 8 foot tall alpha predator that will gladly rip your arms off and beat you to death with them.

Not when it comes to military tech watching 1000s of miles of borders and coast lines. It absolutely does not explain it. They know it’s there. They have to know it’s there. But they don’t want us to know it’s there.

That is a prevailing opinion among some (a majority?) here. I am not a Taxonomist, but I take exception to that 'rule'. That is because our understanding of the natural world changes over time, as even Science changes and advances, and because Bigfoot are, obviously, an extraordinary case study. Why in the world would a body on a slab be better, overall, than a live Specimen that could be examined and then potentially released back into the 'wild', perhaps relatively unharmed? That is mostly a rhetorical question. My mind is not likely to be changed regarding this; I just want more people to consider the fact that we do have options.

I’m a hypocrite. I want proof which can only come from a body on a slab. Yet After That I 1) don’t want a single additional one killed 2) don’t want one in a zoo.

Can you reference this? I have never read that a complete female and a complete male Bigfoot skeleton would be required. Just as there are gray areas when a species is declared to be extinct (see: animals believed to be extinct but later found alive in the wild, called Lazarus species). It seems like there would be similar gray areas declaring some very rare species to be extant. Bigfoot would not fall into either category with 'Science' anyway, because they are neither extinct or extant. I would not need any luck deciding if hunting and killing a Bigfoot would be horrible, Backdoc.

I'm fascinated by Homo floresiensis, the "Hobbit" prehistoric human species discovered recently. I believe there's a strong possibility that reports of Orang pendak could have an association with perhaps a remnant population of "Hobbits." What we currently know about Homo floresiensis is that they have a really strange conglomerates of physical characteristics. Could they have been a dwarf species of Homo erectus? or could they be something even more strange? I do not want Bigfoot in a zoo. Bigfoot to me is an unproven creature. Science shares that same view. I'm with Grover Kranz who said we need a body and Grover was packing heat. He said the first guy to kill one would get an award. The second guy would get the eclectic chair. Since it is an unproven creature, I can make peace with killing the first one as tragic as it would be. As far as the Thylacine or any other extinct but KNOWN animal I am not OK with shooting even one. We already drove the Thylacine to extinction. If there are a few out there, they deserve a chance to reverse what we caused. There is a difference between knowing you are doing something horrible vs doing something which might be determined horrible by mistake or good intentions. Good luck determining which is which.

...or there are no agenda or actions required by anybody. If there are very few of something and the terrain is hard to find those very few that accounts for very few legitimate sightings or reports. I say legit as some of those sightings could be a false storytelling, well-intentioned misidentification, and others. Even if all were legit sightings, those are still few in numbers vs the task to finding bigfoot. 1 needle in a large haystack is hard to find. 5,000 in that same haystack would be expected to be easy to find one. How many needles are out there? What size is the haystack? That may be enough to explain it.

Not so sure. Many whistleblowers have been threatened. And some scientists have disappeared. Is this a grassroots movement to get the truth to the public? Or some red flag event where the government is purposely leaking stuff while acting tough? Dunno. 1) No it wouldn’t. You can point to the child sized pilot chairs but mainstream Science will still want proof. The military is using scientists too. But they are not allowed to publish findings to peer reviewed publications. Part of science is now dark. And has been since the bomb. What else are they hiding in there? 2) Any scientist that can get their work published and accepted in a peer reviewed publication. But if your work happens to pertain with above top secret research? We know who the real boss is. Dr. Gary Nolan has stated they are building a retrieval team to beat the military out to these crash sites. All I can say is? Good Luck! 👀 You and I both agree something funky is going on with Bigfoot as well. Someone doesn’t want them discovered for what ever the reason.
