Tonight’s guest, Sean Patterson, is a United States Army veteran who has had a multitude of Sasquatch sightings and experiences. Those experiences haven’t been confined to just one area, either. He’s had them all over the country. Some of his sightings have amounted to little more than fleeting glimpses, while others have been prolonged encounters where he was close enough to touch them. A Sasquatch even touched his face one time! After having so many experiences with Sasquatch, it would be easy to assume that Sean would be at ease around them by now. If you thought that, though, you’d be wrong. Even after everything he’s experienced, when he interacts with them, he still gets worked up. In the folklore of the Caucasus, Pamir, and Altai mountains, an almas (also called an almasty) is a legendary hominid cryptid. Stories describe it as a human-like creature covered in reddish-brown hair, standing 5 to 6.5 feet tall, and resembling modern reconstructions of Neanderthals rather than large apes. Zana fit that physical description perfectly. She was called an Almas during and after her lifetime. Recently, Science dug her body up along with that of her son and analyzed the DNA of other descendants. She has been scientifically identified as Homo sapiens. She was both, and there is no reason why she could not be both.

Bigfoot sightings stretch across North America in this episode of Bigfoot Society, with firsthand witnesses sharing encounters from Alberta, British Columbia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and beyond. A coal miner describes driving near McLennan, Alberta, when an enormous dark figure appeared beside the railroad tracks. He watched it take four full steps, estimated it at 7½ to 8 feet tall, and backed his car up for another look. What happened in the woods afterward—and the reaction of a nearby dog—has stayed with him ever since. In British Columbia, we hear about generations of Indigenous Bukwus stories from the Kitimat and Kemano region, along with a chilling scream heard from the shoreline during a boating trip. A Kentucky investigator shares a nighttime thermal encounter with a massive upright figure near Fords Ferry Road. Another Kentucky witness remembers following enormous humanlike footprints through fresh snow outside Elizabethtown until blood appeared beside the tracks and something began violently shaking the vegetation ahead of him. We also hear remarkable historical accounts from Connecticut firefighters, a nighttime encounter from western Pennsylvania, and stories passed down from the remote Yukon community of Beaver Creek. Whereas we cannot say that Bigfoot have been scientifically proven to exist, there are many adamant eye-witnesses to something that aligns with thousands of reports of Bigfoot. And many, if not most of those eyewitnesses, have all the proof they need. We have a lot of evidence of Bigfoot, a plethora of which is documented on this very forum. I try to be careful taking it as a given that almost every other animal on earth except Bigfoot is already scientifically classified because there is probably no way that we could ever know that.

I live in northern Iowa. I would travel just about anywhere in the US, but would prefer east of the Mississippi as I travel a lot to Virginia and S. Carolina and Nashville area.

Hi everyone. I reside in Ontario, Canada. Been interested in Bigfoot and cryptozoology and have been reading up on them on and off for over 20 years.

Where are you located and/or what general areas would you consider traveling to?

Very familiar with Momo, it was one of the "incidents" that grabbed my attention back in the 70's (along with Fouke, and some others). However, Louisiana is across the state from KC and is relatively rural, especially compared to the sightings area mentioned above. Also, there are a fair number of sighting in southern MO, in the Ozarks and surrounding area. So MO has plenty of sightings, just would not expect that many in the metro areas around KC.

Included here as it is one of the first "costume" claims found besides those of Philip Morris. As it was an Associated Press (AP) wire story, it was likely carried in many newspapers and there may be earlier versions. This one is from the Sun-Journal of Lewiston (ME) and was published on January 11, 1999.

This is one of the more horrific stories one will read about people desperate enough to act the part of the Wild Man of Borneo. I've seen elsewhere, but this clip is from the The Evening Mail of Halifax, Canada. It was published on November 2, 1905.

Agreed this is a great interview. Very timely considering the upcoming supposed release of the Capturing Bigfoot piece. Mr Perez’ book, Bigfoot at Bluff Creek, is excellent. I consider it a must read for those of us who want a complete breakdown of the Patterson Gimlin Film and all its history. Mr Perez was able to tie all the loosely connected dangling threads (people, places, things) into a cohesive explanation of the timeline of events and evidence surrounding the film.

In 1993, Beth was completing Greenfield Community College’s Outdoor Leadership Program (OLP) when a required multi-day solo brought her deep into DAR State Forest in Goshen, Massachusetts. On her final night, footsteps approached her tent. Then came bright lights, deep voices, paralysis, and two massive roars she says vibrated through her teeth, jaw, and entire body. She never saw what was outside. More than 30 years later, she still wants to know what happened. Then we head into Northern Ontario with an experienced outdoorsman whose encounters include an enormous five-toed footprint, strange tracks crossing deep winter snow, massive calls moving along a remote lake, answering whistles, and something huge charging through the brush.
