I think this is most likely right. The only logical reason Wally Hersom didn't have Ketchum prosecuted for fraud is that he was on the same page. I think what she actually found completely refuted her preferred theory and between them, they decided to deliberately tank the "study" rather than present something absolutely disproving their intended result. In other words, rather than prove the Bible by proving nephilim via bigfoot, they found something else. They found a non-spiritual, F&B thing, no "angel DNA" (yes, she DID use those words). MIB

Very cool stories! I really think concerning UFOs? People just need to look up. I am not saying everyone will see a discernible craft. But lights in the sky? Like a meteor or a satellite? But doing weird maneuvers both of those objects don’t do? That happens all the time. I have seen the phenomenon more times than I can count.

It is amazing enough Norse that you saw a bigfoot trackway on the family ranch, but to also to have seen many UFO's at a different time is totally amazing to my way of thinking because just seeing a UFO is still an enormous event that many others have not been lucky enough to have experienced. I thought I was the luckiest man when I saw a closeup UFO around 1968. I was living in Eugene, Oregon, and about ten at night I looked across a really wide river called the Willamette River. About five football fields away was a UFO hovering about 30 feet off the flat dark river. The craft was long like two school busses glued together and, it just sat in the same spot floating over the water. Then luck strikes again, and in 1980 I was camping under the stars after a long day of wood cutting near Medford, and a bigfoot silently sneaks up. About 100' away I woke up and stared into the eyes of a middle-aged bigfoot thinking it was a bear. It was looking at me in a curious way and after a week pondering the sighting I knew it was fuzzy head bigfoot and not a bear because it lacked big fuzzy ears like bears have. I say middle-aged because it was not filled out like a mature old bigfoot. I wish that every member on the forum can experience bigfoot in one way or another.

Or? We are humans and our brains naturally want to fill in the gaps? Where I saw the trackway and many UFOs? Was on the family ranch. Not at the same time mind you. But if I had seen the two phenomena at the same time? I still wouldn’t link them. No more if I saw a herd of Elk with a UFO overhead. I would have to see a craft on the ground with a door open and Bigfeet get out. But Ive never seen Bigfoot and Ive never seen a craft on the ground. In fact all have been just lights other than the silver tube. I can only go off my own experiences and for you yours. I dont know.

He has bitten the Melba Ketchum lure, hook line and sinker. Thats where the “fallen angel” stuff comes from. I think you all know what I think of Ketchums work. Your mileage may vary.

Where Paulides loses me is at the idea of “fallen angels”. He doesn’t define this term, and seems to rely on the reader/listener to bring their IYKYK sensibilities to the discussion. As someone raised in the Episcopal, and later on, the Presbyterian (USA) church, I am well acquainted with the concept, but he is pretty much on the fundamentalist dog-whistle track with that. But…to attach much credibility to the whole idea requires a belief in the inerrancy of scripture, especially Old Testament writings. I don’t have too much faith in the Bible being mostly more than an assemblage of allegorical oral traditions…selectively edited by those paying for the work (Looking at you, Emperor Constantine). How the whole idea of angelic transgressors is relevant to solving the problem is left unsaid. It smacks of superstition to me, and is a typically Western solution to explain anything outside of man’s rational experience. If we are relying on Jesus to explain Bigfoot to us at the Rapture, I for one find this less than satisfying. Not wanting to move the discussion too far down this path, as faith is a very sensitive topic to delve into, but do any have opinions to help illuminate what exactly Paulides feels, and Carpenter felt, and how this is at all relevant or useful?

Dear Norseman thank-you for at least discussing the paranormal attributes of bigfoot that quite a few observers have reported. When I observed bigfoot in 1980, it definitely appeared as a flesh and blood creature living in the woods near a little Oregon town in Oregon called Prospect. Since then and years later I was taking trips to the woods and attempting to see bigfoot again. This is when I was hit in the face with paranormal aspects of bigfoot. I questioned my sanity and tossed the whole bigfoot topic in the trash and decided to quit my quest to learn about bigfoot. After a few years I began my quest to study bigfoot by joining Bigfoot Forum. My energy has evaporated at the age of 78 due to health problems so bigfoot forum is my way of pursuing the topic. I don't believe bigfoot is piloting UFOs but possibly bigfoots are captured or created by aliens and the aliens provide bigfoot with a few paranormal attributes so it can evade capture by humans. Are transported to Earth in UFOs for some reason? Can you think of a reason? There are a few bigfoot sighting reports where bigfoots are seen in the proximity of UFOs. Are Bigfoot, UFOs linked? UFOs are real, why not. They're just not identified to a specific make or model of aircraft or spacecraft. Every year we learn about stuff, mostly various military platforms that have been in operation for decades already and who the hell knows what propulsion is in place already. Every year more and more speculation occurs that our current culture isn't the first culture on the planet or even the first species with a culture, and every year we learn more and more about the cosmos that makes it clear many distant suns have planets and many of those are what we would call habitable. So when someone sees something maneuver wildly, believe 'em. I once saw the moon full and low in the Southern sky. Had to be about 79 or 80. Summer. The moon is never low in the southern sky here in upstate NY. I thought it looked odd, and drew it to the attention of a buddy's dad. He stood there staring at it for a very long while. That freaked me out as much as anything. I don't remember what happened next. I assume us kids got bored and continued on being noisy jackasses running around the neighborhood. As far as Paulides, I can't tell if he's trying to grasp at the facts in common between the sightings and disappearances and just missing the mark on purpose or on accident. I enjoy some of his stories, but when he gets to the woo, it makes it less credible to me

Do you know what they are? Have any firm belief about what they are, where they are from? I, too, have seen things overhead that I can't identify making them, in the most literal sense, UFOs, but I have no proof they aren't misidentified things from right here on earth. I have a hard time with Paulides. I think he has gone the way of many researchers in that they start out earnest and grounded and then become more sensational than rational. Got to make a bigger splash than the last time they wrote a book or made a documentary Got to keep the community eyes on them. Got to keep squeezing the turnip hoping to stay in the forefront and recognized. It seems to be its own rabbit hole.

Tonight we will be speaking to Virgil, who is from Washington. He was turkey hunting in 2016. As the sun was coming up, Virgil describes what he thought were other hunters talking. Virgil said he could not make out what they were saying and it sounded like mumbling. Wolf hunt today in north Idaho. Not much of a winter thus far. We have actually lost snow pack with the Atmospheric River that has flooded much of the PacNW. Saw one Moose today. Saw a-lot of Moose tracks. I went up a dead end road and on the way out discovered I had ran over a kill. Must have been covered in a thin crust of snow. I am guessing its a yearling Moose calf? Maybe a Deer or even a Elk calf. Something had been crunching on the bones and after inspection I found a short black hair on one of the bones. So I kept it and its in the freezer. I am not saying its anything Bigfoot related. But Moose calves, Elk and Deer tend to be a brown color. I thought it was worthy of collecting. If Bigfoot eats ungulates? Surely some evidence will be found on a kill site. If anyone wants the sample? Let me know. In other news I ate it on ice today. The Winchester model 70 hit the ground. Gonna have to check zero. My elbows feel like hamburger. This big thaw has made everything in the mountains a polished sheet of ice. I stepped off the bank after glassing a clear cut and thought the road was snowy. About a 1/4 inch was and underneath was polished glass. Must have looked like a baby Moose on roller skates. Ouch.

Tonight’s guest, Bruce Brown, is a former law enforcement officer who had his first Sasquatch sighting when he was 8-years-old. He was trying to fly a kite, at the time, when he saw 3 Sasquatch. Bruce says the Sasquatch seemed to be more interested in watching him as he was trying to get it to fly than they were in just watching him. Bruce thought they were gorillas. He had no clue what they actually were. It wasn’t until his great grandmother sat him down and had a little talk with him that he came to understand what they actually were. The experience he had that day, when he was trying to fly that kite was just the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the experiences he’s had with Sasquatch. One of the most notable encounters he’s had with a Sasquatch happened one night when he was working as a Sherrif’s deputy and was on the scene of an accident investigation. That night, he stood feet from a female Sasquatch that had been severely injured, after being hit by a car. Well, that's not quite what the Public Opinion, a Chambersburg (PA) newspaper published on January 12, 1921, but it may as well have been. This article admittedly does not add any new encounters, but it demonstrates that skeptics will always be around. I wonder if any more "gorillas" were encountered in Pennsylvania after this newspaper laid out the facts.
