There is a field report from Canada stating a bigfoot was shot and killed near a village. I will try to find the report.

I was once asked the question, “What would you do if you found bigfoot?” and I decided to write an essay on that question. Here’s my answer: I would certainly tell everyone that bigfoot exists, and if I had a device that can connect to the internet or can record I could use that so people could know that bigfoot exists. The reasons I give for doing this is stated below: I do not want to be another one of those “bigfoot conspiracy theories” that most people think are not real. I want to make sure people will respect and protect the forest which bigfoot “lives” in. Said bigfoot shall be protected. The government should make a red, blue, yellow, and green zone. The red zone is where no one should go. The blue zone should be only government activity. The yellow zone is where only people at least 30 years old with a permit can go. And the green zone should be where you need a permit and be at least 20. The Geneva convention. The reason this is a reason is because I consider bigfoot to be part of the “ape” family. And all apes (except humans) usually are considered animals protected by the geneva convention, thereby, due to animal cruelty being non-allowed by the geneva convention, I think we should leave it alone. (in fact we have to) Here’s another good question, is bigfoot real? Well, the reason I think it is is because there was a story about an about 19-25 year old girl accidentally running over bigfoot. Here’s the thing, she was about to get to her boyfriend's house, who is a hunter. He took his AK-47 out to the woods. He thought he shot the bigfoot but then it (apparently) went through it into a tree. When a team of investigators about 3 years later decided to search, they found the bullet still there. They did check but unfortunately, it didn’t have any DNA samples on it, but the reason I still believe the story is true is because the team video recorded it, showing how the car looks like there are dents in the front matching the ones a human man would have made. It is hard to believe me here but trust me, I’m right.

As noted before, without a copy of Tirademan's e-book, it's hard to divine what he did or did not find. This article ran in The Houston (TX) Post on January 12, 1960.

Published in the Redding (CA) Record Searchlight on October 21, 1958. Of interest is when the tracks supposedly first appeared in Trinity County.

Interesting debate about Bigfoot. Ran across this. Many of you probably already have seen this. What I like about the video is Meldrum has a polite debate with this somewhat skeptic Erika Gutsick Gibbon. She brings up respectfully reasonable points and Meldrum does a great job answering each one. I learned additional things just listening to these two (and Esp Meldrum). It is a loooooong video but if you have the time, It is informative. I wish more discussions could be on this level. Finally, Meldrum does a good job essentially being kind and not dunking on her when it is obvious he could.

BP is "before present". (a quick edit: for "BP" time, year 0 is 1950, so 200BP would be 1750.) The earliest Clovis points date to about 13,000 years ago. Having sites in North America 10,000 years before Clovis nullifies the whole "Clovis first" paradigm. Along with that idea was populating North America through an ice free corridor in the Cordilleran ice sheet. There was no ice free corridor 23,000 years ago. This more or less forces the populating of N.A. to have been by boat along the coast following the "kelp highway" rather than overland. Most of the artifacts from that route are under hundreds of feet of seawater today since the melting of the continental glaciers has pushed sea levels up that much. There were at least 4 periods in the pleistocene where there was a Bering land bridge rather than open water but we don't have any generally accepted evidence of human occupation going back to those earlier 3 periods. For now, the suggested, speculative very early "stuff" (100K years BP) seems to stand alone with no supporting evidence and most likely is wishful thinking, not evidence of human occupation. Possibility of 30K years could be inferred though. The important part is that Clovis technology was NOT the earliest in North America, people were here before Clovis technology was developed. Most likely, also, since there were already people here, Clovis, despite having strong similarity to Solutrean technology, is probably a North American development. With people already here, there should be strong genetic connection if the technology were imported.

23,000 Before Present (now). "Science" actively discouraged speculation of human activity in N America prior to approximately 13,000 Before Present (Clovis culture). Such speculation led to careers being damaged, and was suppressed. The confirmation that the White Sands fossil footprints at 23,000 BP helped dash the stranglehold of the "None Before Clovis" dogma. Real science freed to pursue discovery of prehistoric N American human activity.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this forum now contains 500 articles concerning events which possibly could have been an encounter with a Bigfoot. For those wondering where they're all at, given that only 16 pages of topics appear (roughly 400 articles), be patient - I've preloaded topics that will show up through March. For those wondering why your computer will say there are 530 some posts, every comment counts as a post. In addition, I'm convinced that the website can't add. Like much Bigfoot research, this is built on the shoulders of those who came before, using information from John Green's database, Scott McClean's prior work, and books by Janet and Colin Bord, Paul and Robert Bartholomew, Timothy Renner, and Christopher L. Murphy as a compass to point the direction to old articles and, increasingly, old books long since out of print. The pace of posting will now slow down noticeably. I plan on adding future posts at a rate of 3 per week, probably on Mondays. I hope that everyone continues to enjoy these.
