  3. Group size is a question. Two or three? The people in Oklahoma chasing wood apes have not produced. They used a lot of man-hours / years. I believe that they operate on private land. They did make a novel tracking device. The wood apes know them by sight and smell. I don't follow the Olympic Project but what happens when Wally dies / cuts off the money? The Olympic Peninsula is a huge area. So much land and so few people to get into brutal terrain. We are fiercely independent and hesitate to broadcast any locations.
  4. I got that pearl from a former co-worker. I see that EDC knives are for your on-the-go lifestyle. Go #1 or #2 ?. You never know when you might encounter the potential ill effects of camp food that is borderline too old or meet up with our cousin(s) at close range. Have several changes on hand.

    Biopsy dart - Polar Bears

We are not trying to drive a bolt through the animal. So a cheap recurve crossbow would work. 200 bucks….

    Biopsy dart - Polar Bears

I also think we could modify a crossbow system on the cheap. These pneumatic dart gun companies are super proud of their stuff. https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/1024181612?pid=818995&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=[ADL]_[PMAX]_[Category]_Archery&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5eis34qChgMVRDqtBh3dpAZyEAQYAiABEgLlNPD_BwE
  7. https://pubs.usgs.gov/publication/70044677 I found this article and its numbers fascinating! 99% successful in collecting a DNA sample with a 80% success rate over all. (Misses, lost darts, etc) Basically if you can connect? You’re almost assured a good tissue sample. Unfortunately I don’t know which company they used. But I have seen them use pneumatic guns and also a crossbow. If you’re not willing to harvest a type specimen? This holds promise. It’s better than a plaster cast or an audio file by far. It’s a real shot at discovery. I still suggest carrying a gun regardless. I doubt Bigfoot would be any more or less testy than a Polar Bear which is a pure predator. Foliage and terrain will be more of a challenge for us. A tree stand perhaps? A blind? A tent with human chatter coming out of it? Sky is the limit. Use your imagination.

  11. I believe that access to a site on private land with a history of activity like the Olympic Project site or a location featuring an immediately recent sighting or sighting cluster would be a great way to concentrate effort on an area with a high possibility of a creature still in the vicinity. Unfortunately, research organizations that get fresh reports don’t seem to want to share such information promptly.

I'm pretty sure the gentleman you're referring to is Scott Nelson, there's a multitude of YouTube videos of his presentations on what he believes to be Bigfoot language. He's been interviewed on numerous podcasts and appears in the documentary A Flash of Beauty: Bigfoot Revealed. It looks like he is still doing appearances, there's a video of a presentation he did at Montanacon 2023 (Oct 7th-8th 2023) on David Paulides' YouTube channel. There's also a longer (and slightly better-produced) video of his presentation at the 2022 Ozark Mountain UFO Conference here. Montanacon 2023 presentation:

IMO, a successful group would be an anarcho-democratic confederacy, all agents capable and willing to operate solo, have a shared view on the approach and enough experience to recognize the best option in any circumstance, even if it isn't one's own. Doesn't sound difficult to pull together but I'm sure it is.

  17. True, sometimes large groups develop conflicts........'too many cooks in the kitchen'. Initial scouting 14 day trips would be pleasant even if our cousins did not show up. Norseman is the finder of YouTube videos. The $2k costume in the video or the Chewbacca suit, like all full costumes would be very hot to wear. The synthetic materials would off-gas 'plastic / rubber smells' and the smells may be a huge problem. Be normal and smell like a human.
  18. I wasn't addressing any costumery but the plan, man. And I'm sure I saw it but don't recall it, while being a wee bit confused as to how a Trading Places analogy is related to my comment. But it's late... Much to be said for the proposed approach, set up camp in decent habitat and stay a while. Interlopers might even be seen as more interesting if it were not in a traveled, vehicle accessible area. Not easy with a bigger team and equipment/support but a good bushwhack into a wilderness area where people may not have been seen in a looong time might be irresistible to the residents.

  21. Don’t have a link…apologies…but I do recommend NC States’ Director of Interdisciplinary Studies Darby Orcutt’s July 2023 interview on the Sasquatch Track podcast. He proposed, and is overseeing, their DNA project. From his comments, I am persuaded that he appreciates the practical pitfalls and realities of such an undertaking. Worth the time.

    New Member Introductions

Hi everyone, I’m from the UK, and I’ve been following all the things across the discovery channels regarding ‘Bigfoot’. I am a retired nurse, but love nature, and really hope we’re able to prove a sister species (Bigfoot) does exist and has survived and thrived for so long. There have been rumours of a Sasquatch moving through the countryside here in UK, that was cut off from the continent centuries ago due to land changes, but I don’t know how true this is. Either way, I am a true follower, and hoping we really do have a ‘sister’ species.
