Sierra Shooting from A-Z

General, Thank you so much for opening up on this story. I am really enjoying your descriptions of the BFs and the events surrounding the shooting. I hunt with my son and father alot and I have often wondered if I had a Sasquatch cross in front of me heading in the direction of my son, should I shoot or not? I am just being honest but my son or my father is more important than any creature out there. I know the demeanor of the creature would probably weigh heavily in my decision but I hope I never have to make that choice.

My question is.... is the hair coat closer to a gorilla or elk or bear or really really hairy man? In other words, how thick and coarse would you descibe the hair?

Secondly, I know you moved the young BF... was the odor on your hands really bad?

thanks again bro.

General, when you say they kinda look like a boxer are you saying they had a slight prognathism where as the mouth of the animal sticks out, or was the face fairly flat?

Thanks for your comments on Patty, I've always wanted to ask witnesses if this is what they saw.

Here is a painting drawn by Robert Bateman that shows a Sasquatch with a slightly protruding mandible, is this facial structure similar to the ones you saw or am I way off?

I can put a picture in my mind of what you are describing. It sounds as though most drawings and descriptions are putting way to much muscle definition to it. Big mass, but not like the drawings that look like the muscles of a pro football player. And you had said mangy before, so a mess of patchy hair all over and not well fed? I figured if it had the muscle tone of the sketches on this thread, it must be a meat eater primarily, or it eats nuts, alfalfa, beans, or other legumes to get that much bulk. When it walked toward you, was it in attack mode going for you, or just trying to draw your attention away from the little ones?

I'm not trying to paint a picture of myself as a great person or as a hero.I'm a regular guy. Idk why so much is debated about me and my motives. Who cares?

Bad things happened.

At the end of all this does it really matter what was in my heart or head when I pulled the trigger?

Saying that to say.my story will never change, I was extremely close to the kid and it just got too close. I didn't hunt it down or ingauge it. I felt all kinds of things threatend, in danger, scared, sad angry, very sad ashamed, yes i 100 percent crossed my mind if I don't kill one of these little ones or find the parent ill be labled as crazy... Ill also say I think that would atleast cross anyones mind. But.... I had 15 minutes of deciding not to shoot over and over again. Then one just got too close and was almost straight up hill just a few yards away moving in my direction.

A full detailed account has been documented and will be available. I don't plan on discribing what really happened in detailed again cause there is a lot left out in our postings.

To answer your ? Slim, there was about 13 of us there for the recovery effort. 13 people agreed not to disclose anything about what happened the story or anything. 12 of those 13 people I trust. I know the 12 wouldn't say anything and would keep their word.

Is what it is

You can trust 999 out of 1,000 but it' sthat 1 that will do the damage to you.

Let's hope teh 13th isn't as unlucky for you than it's generally considered to be..

general- So is your book going to be fiction or non-fiction or maybe an article in Field and Stream? I understand that it just happened but for pete sakes do you have any thought at all about turning this unfortunate incident into something that can benifit the victims? I really think it would help you also to the better of your own well being. ptangier

Really? If this leads to recognition (and protection) of the species then he's done more than most. IMO.

Hi General,

The 'driver' who was with you on the day is the only one who can directly corroborate your story, but I don't think we have ever heard from him directly. Am I right in this? Is there any way you think you could persuade him to come forward? Is he just a buddy or is he now directly involved in the Olympic Project?

Do you know for sure that the issue sample you submitted passed Dr Ketchum's Bigfoot test, or are we just assuming that?

Don't let the hysterical, emotional posters get you down. They are the worst Bigfoot investigators in the world!

General- I understand; HOWEVER, I've seen it on another website that you stated that you just want to put this all behind you. I am not one to point fingers or or alienate anyone. IMHO the best way to put this whole incident behind you would be to make this incident work for the good. What is done is done but to make it work for the good would IMO would be to #1 notorize your true and final statement of the whole incident giving location as best you can and timelines. # 2 to turn the statement into the Ca. DFG( like I say they probably won't prosecute you for shooting undocumented) so that way it give them a vehicle to start regulations or develope some sort of Public Service Announcements to be distributed to hunting clubs, fishing and camping clubs and the general public so that the public could be educated about the Bigffot. I know that is a stretch but it would be a start to make some good of this unfortunate incident. thank you for your contact with this forum. ptangier

Sorry I missed this post. That is basically in the works
