Incorrigible1 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Opens April 19. https://ew.com/riley-keough-jesse-eisenberg-sasquatch-sunset-trailer-8576533 Sasquatch Sunset made headlines last month as one of the weirdest films to premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival — a strange and completely dialogue-free story about a grunting family of Bigfoots. (Bigfeet?) Now, Bleecker Street has shared the film’s first trailer, unveiling a new look at David and Nathan Zellner’s oddball epic. As the title suggests, Sasquatch Sunset focuses on a small clan of nonverbal sasquatches who live in the Northern California woods. The film follows them as they go about their daily lives, complete with displays of sex, masturbation, and defecation. (When it premiered at Sundance last month, more than a few audience members walked out.) Edited February 13 by Incorrigible1 1
Chim Chim Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Kind of a more primitive Quest for Fire, which although no award winner was fun to watch.
Incorrigible1 Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 A good review: https://www.slantmagazine.com/film/sasquatch-sunset-review-riley-keough-jesse-eisenberg/?fbclid=IwAR0iAqwpP37HXJ_1-j0sorJaeF1FEtn5bqOFStNl8l_tgEcKTkvwq86QWDA_aem_AfYLTppJYoZ12SZNQ381aOJsaVf57ZWxfR2v0WPwmZ3c_EyE6RaFQsvXyLW4O2O2aj2It1LJQmLT_GJadBhtz_yM&mibextid=NOb6eG "Enter David and Nathan Zellner’s Sasquatch Sunset, a comedy that takes an unsparing guess at what the brutal, cruel, and short lives of our mythical, hirsute cousins would be like. It opens with a cheeky restaging of the so-called Patterson–Gimlin film from 1967, which claimed to capture a real-life Bigfoot, only here our eyes are drawn to four Bigfoots moving with strange gaits across the frame. From there, we’re taken on a tour through the life of a sasquatch family."
xspider1 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 The costumes aren’t terrible and it’s coming out just in time for my birthday!
CelticKevin Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Of course...now if someone has a great video or pic, it will be discounted because of what these filmmakers accomplished...lol.

The achievements in AI and CGI will cause digital images and video to be tossed out. The new business side of AI images will bite back. AI generated images can not be copyrighted. Once the paywall for viewing is penetrated, the pixel pirates will go wild. Currently, some of the image brokering websites will not accept AI influenced products. We will have to use a product that is a 4 letter word that can be copyrighted and verified. Very few are able to utilize such a product. 1 1
Incorrigible1 Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 I saw a pre-release showing, tonight. Entirely not what I expected. Not a comedy, but several humorous scenes. Life, death, birth, nursing, pathos, and (again,) living. A placenta tossed to a mountain lion. I can't highly recommend. It is one you'll enjoy on your home screen.
synacknet Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Here's my take on "Sasquatch Sunset": It SUCKS!I Won't bother delving into the backgrounds of the directors or writers. It feels like they either hated everything about Bigfoot or had an unrealistic childhood fascination with it that soured over time. This movie is a complete mess, and I'm glad I downloaded it instead of wasting money on it. The film portrays Bigfoot as incredibly stupid, with scenes that are downright ridiculous, like pissing and ******** on a road because of loggers. It's horrible. While I believe in the possibility of Bigfoot having connections to UFOs or telekinesis, this movie goes out of its way to make the creature look as dumb as possible.I suggest avoiding this movie. If you do watch it, prepare for a so-called comedy that quickly loses any semblance of humor. By the halfway point, I was struggling to find anything remotely funny. Thanks for reading my rant. I despise this movie so much that I'll upload it for free if anyone wants to see how bad it is.
AtlantiS Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) This is one of those, you like it or don't like it movies... It could be possible... some scenes explain the foul smell some of them have... No one can proof the opposite of the movie... Scene on road , welllll...... Entertaining movie Reminds me at "Quest for fire " I wish they would make a movie like a documentary, in the style like the prehistoric documentaries about dinosaurs. The film makers just read the witness reports, interviewing the most credible researchers and with the gathered info they create the 1.5 hour documentary narrated by David Attenborough or Morgan Freeman and show the life style of Bigfoot. Who knows, with these days A.I. progression, soon we all could meet together here in chat and create this documentary style movie our self. And show the world how we think Bigfoot's life is... It could be possible... Edited September 2 by AtlantiS
Dubman Posted November 20 Posted November 20 I watched this a few weeks ago, it wasn't what I expected and my overall impression was that Sasquatch was being compared to gorillas and chimpanzees, behaviour wise, too much. If Sasquatch really behaved this way, I doubt there would be a Bigfoot Forum, no need. There is some humour in the film but it drys up pretty quickly. Seems more of a p!££take. 1
