Jfp Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I usually carry a judge with both 410 and 45 long colt. Mostly the 410 for snakes 45 long colt for anything else. 1
Sircalum Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Good old reliable S&W 44 mag will put down anything. If you hit the right spot!
FLY Posted September 3 Posted September 3 My sidearm for hunting, woods walking has been a Ruger Blackhawk .357. IF , I were to go searching for Bigfoot I would also carry a 12 gauge pump with alternating 00 and Brenneke slugs 1
Backdoc Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) I would have a very hard time shooting a Bigfoot unless it was self-defense. However, If I was in the woods and encountered Bigfoot and needed to defend myself, I would hope I was armed like this tough gal Vasquez from the movie Aliens. A baby pistol won't do. Your life would be on the line as much as -if not more than- a Grizzley bear. Edited 4 hours ago by Backdoc

Might as well say you want to be armed with a phaser on kill or a Phased plasma rifle in the forty watt range 1

Your life would be on the line as much as -if not more than- a Grizzley bear........... Baby pistols have one huge advantage over all other self defense weapons: Easiest to carry (even in your front pocket), they tend to be at hand when you need it. And while it's rarely considered a death ray, if loaded with the best possible ammo, it can effectively repel even the largest threat........... https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=388 Quote ..........You are the first person I have told this story to as I haven't decided whether to write it up or not, or where, but thought you should know that your ammo WORKS. We recovered 4 of the bullets and I took a photo of the back of the bear after the hide was removed that shows an entry on one side of the back and the tip of the bullet on the off side ...........
Backdoc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago In all seriousness, it puts in perspective Gimlin stating he would have dropped Patty with his rifle if she had turned and attacked them that day. That probably applies to most hunters and outdoorsmen Gimlin describes his rifle and bullets in a way where he seems confident his firepower would have killed a charging sasquatch. It's been said Gimlin and Roger had agreed not to shoot one. My guess is neither would have anyway unless attacked.
