Davo the blue Posted September 11 Share Posted September 11 Hey all, I'm a Brit who's always been fascinated by Bigfoot and I'm due to appear on a quiz show over here with "The Myth and Lore of Bigfoot" as my specialist subject. Chose it because I hoped it spark some interest with the producers and it's something that I do know a fair bit about. So anyway I've got a few months before filming and looking for some tips and advice on books or docus that I might have missed. I'm thinking of anything outside the usual John Green, Grover Krantz, Jeff Meldrum books and isn't a rehash of the same stories (eg I enjoyed Chris Noel's habitation book which won't be everyone's cup of tea and the Brian Sykes' book about his DNA study). With docus it's harder to see stuff over here so any recommendations (and links) that can be found online would be greatly appreciated. Over there, you have 'The Centre for Fortean Zoology' (CFZ). Paul Vella ( RIP 2017 ) was the CFZ Bigfoot Study Chair. He was a member of several Sasquatch websites. I do not know what kind of Sasquatch files that the CFZ may have. I would recommend visiting www.bigfootencounters.com. The site was started by 'Bobbie Short' who passed in 2013. Her grandson keeps the site up but it is not current. Lots of reading there. Bobbie Short was working on a book when she passed. Friends and associates finished the book. The book, "The de facto Sasquatch" is available in 2 downloadable pdf files. On the site, the right hand margin has many selections. Go to the top one, "What's New". The first 2 paragraphs have the download links for the book. The downloads are 406 & 157 pages. "The de facto Sasquatch" may be your cup of Earl Grey. 563 pages is a lot of reading to stare at your monitor. I suggest downloading the pdf files and have 'Old Timers Cameras LTD' aka 'OTC Ltd' print and bind them. They are in St Albans, UK. I have my camera manuals printed and bound by them. I fancy they'll ask you about what you've mentioned, but might possibly use questions on the recent reality shows maybe ? The one issue I may have is I need surgery so hopefully it won't happen at the same time as filming. Not the same Davo as on YT tho I'll have to have a look and see who my non blue namesake is👍🏻 If you guys or anyone else thinks of anything else, I am very grateful.
