Certainly worth kicking in a few bucks if you have it.

I'm wondering what he needs the money for ? He's a pretty low tech guy when he goes out and doesn't use a crew of people

where he needs to make payroll .I'm fairly certain he already owns anything he needs to take with him including thermal and night vision .

If he finds something that really proves they exist not more tree structures or tracks then he won't have any problem

finding the funding from Discovery or any media comapny really to get it into production . Hell they will be beating down his door with offers

He is trying to get 36K to make a movie. That will have him running on vapors for budget. He isn't trying to get rich off of it.

Any famous or semi-famous person who can increase focus on the subject is a positive in my book.

Not  all efforts are going to be at a Munns Meldrum discovery channel level of quality but that’s ok

Besides, if you are mentioned and parady on TV’s The Office that’s no too bad

I suppose being self-funded would allow him to do things exactly as he sees fit without any concern for satisfying the wishes of third-party funding sources. I've always admired his work and think he is a straight shooter.

I've always thought the best work would be done by one person willing to spend time in high-resource areas.  The footprint is small and more likely to allay concerns a sasquatch might have with a large production. If it feels safe, it is more likely to approach.

I'd be a little more optimistic and positive for this if Stroud hadn't been tainted by the Todd Standing fraud virus.

That's why I always thought it was silly in finding Bigfoot they had a film crew with them thinking they are going to sneak up on one. " Hey quiet ...you hear that "

Stroud is a different kind of animal where I can see him having a real encounter if it wants to show it self to him . I think anykind of new Bigfoot stuff is cool to watch but if it's the same old thing of a few interviews  and scary music then the film will be filed away just like the 100's of other ones that have been made . His statement he will attempt to answer why they arent captured on a trail cam , why no bones have ever been found etc.. these questions have been asked and hypothesized in 100's of  Bigfoot documentaries

and books . Here's to hoping the funds he seeks are for actually going out again like he did before and not what everyone else does . Just talk about reasons they think they haven't been proven .

Here is an interview with Survivor Man and Bob Gimlin.  As expected, its mostly the typical story. Yet, I am struck how easy it is for Gimlin to tell it and how authentic and believable Gimlin is telling it:
