The video media is simply eye candy and the content creators usually fizzle out quickly. You have some fancy gizomotronic devices. Have you checked them for infrasonic and ultrasonic noise? The reason that I ask is that one of your images on the slider is an ungulate that is aware of your equipment. Not uncommon. Plotwatchers are watched by ungulates when they trigger. And stop using those flashlights that emit red light. I am not sure of where you are working. In Washington State, the hunt is still active for the father who killed his three daughters. LE believes that he might be heading for Canada. Possible Pacific Crest Trail, north central Washington is a danger zone. Head on a swivel. We have tested for ultrasonic and EMF and have got them damn near zero registration, we have not tested for infrasound. The only sound we know the system makes is a small mechanical click once every 45 minutes as the sensor refresh takes place. The only times we have had animals become aware are by scent ( always bear ) and feeding directly next to the camera lens and likely hearing the sensor refresh. We do occasionally highlight in stills the animals looking in the general direction but they do not actually seem aware of the system. We have videos up that seem to demonstrate they are oblivious to it in 99% of cases. 1

I personally checked in to see what field research methods, techniques and ideas are being tossed around out in the woods. Couple other points to note. 1 - Forums are dying as human attention spans decrease due to overstimulation by social media. 2 - Video media as a format ( youtube, patreon, tiktok, live streaming ) is eating forums for breakfast, direct commentary and long format video scape covers most of the discussion points and theories. 3 - Field research efforts these days are ultra weak sauce compared to how " the community " use to address the subject, most now sit around and slip into " cant get them on camera, must be paranormal " or they simply do nothing of effort to get out and search for evidence. Bigfoot is a campfire hobby with very little actual pursuit these days. We do have a couple die-hard guys still here but the volume of activity has always been around PGF debate and field research and now post the lockdowns, people are preoccupied and distracted by seahawks games, vacations and what ever other primary hobbies people engage in these days. The vigor and thrill of walking around in the dark and looking for prints is gone for most or waved away by the embrace of weak minded woo " experiences " that are create insulated FaceBook groups for self worship. No red circles required to figure that out if you check in on all these media sites. I now check in like once every other month to see if anything is going on research related and it seems that the spring has dried up and personally, this drives me nuts because we have more tools today than any point in history. This concludes my rant, lol. Reddit Bigfoot has grown from 100K follows 2 years ago to 250K followers today. That isn't insignificant. Forums are as popular as ever, but something is askew with the recipe on this specific site. How many people actually post here in a month? 1

The first Bigfoot forum I ever joined was the BFRO “blue room”. I was basically ran out of there for my pro kill stance, but whatever. It’s not the point. The point is that several years ago the BFRO shut down the blue room and opened up a Facebook page. They have 111 k members. Good for them. The hound hunting forum I belonged to? Gone. The jet boat forum called mean chicken…..gone. Along with the massive repository of knowledge. How does a very specific old school PHPBB board compete with Reddit or FB or the next great social platform? Good question.

I mentioned three right off the top of my head. The BFRO has moved their forum to Facebook specifically. We are not a social media platform like Reddit or Facebook. I personally do not like social media platforms. But it would seem people like me are a minority. 2

Huntster Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The BFF is dying because sasquatchery is dying. There are no fresh excellent quality encounters with good evidence to share. The qualified pioneers with scientific qualifications are dying off. These creatures might be on the cusp of extinction.

Yes it’s forums, but it covers every subject under the sun. I am not sure how to replicate that here. We don’t have a feed with revolving posts. Posts that have nothing to do with each other? Norcal where are you going with this? Changes to the forum are the responsibility of the steering committee. If you have ideas to make this forum better? You are more than welcome to run it past them. Incorrigible is the SC chair. Shoot him a PM.

I don't think sasquatchery is dying. SERIOUS, science-based sasquatchery is dying, pop-culture and wootard sasquatchery seems to be taking off .. unfortunately. It's become the equivalent of pink flamingos and lawn gnomes. It is very difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. It has driven most of the serious researchers .. the ones not dead yet .. underground to get away from the "noise." There is nothing this forum can do about it. The world has moved "forward" in a not very appealing direction. 1
