I don’t put much stock in the Sierra sounds. But if someone does? Good for them. And people mimic Sasquatch stuff all the time. From the PGF 352 frame to wood knocking to the Ohio howl. It’s inevitable.
Scratchy Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) I’ve lurked here for many years on and off. I’ve posted a few times in the past but mainly come here periodically to see if anything new is happening. I too have noticed the forum is much less active than before. It’s an independent platform. That has nothing on Reddit. The reason the Bigfoot subReddit is growing so much is because A. It’s just a huge conglomerate that attracts people and B. There’s regular influx of users from other similar subreddits like the paranormal, cryptozoology, outdoorsmen subreddits. Interest in Bigfoot is not really dying I believe either. As far as the sasquatches themselves I believe there is somewhat less than in the past. I personally like to think the population is declining locally in some areas and remaining stable or even increasing in others. It’s likely there’s less Sasquatch in the southeast for example than before due to human encroachment, but there’s undoubtedly population stability or rise in places like rural Canada. I am a young guy and the advice I would give to get the BFF back on track is to advertise both on and offline however you can. Guarantee you a lot of the younger folks on the subreddit have never heard of BFF and would happily partake. This forum is pretty well put together and offers unique tailorship to Sasquatch compared to the subReddit. edit: realized I’ve posted in here before but wanted to elaborate Edited February 27 by Scratchy
Skinwalker13 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago In my opinion, the gears have shifted, the VAST majority of folks in the "community" are no longer interested in finding answers, they are here for the pop culture phenomena that is "bigfoot". For that reason, forums full of information and data points are of little interest when youtube other social platforms are spoon feeding them. these kinds of spaces are for the dedicated at this point. what they are dedicated to is another question lol. finding answers? their skepticism ? their belief? I've dropped back over the last 2 years myself due to other projects and other research opportunities that yield quantifiable data. Those other fields feel far more rewarding because i can actually "bring it home" so to speak. as mentioned by @Scratchy pushing it on a subreddit may help boost registration and activity over here.
