New York 1891 - Wild Man (Actually a Hermit) on Long Island - Tirademan!

Originally posted by Tirademan in 2011 in the New York Incidents Or Field Observations (page 3).  Re-posted here to improve accessibility.  UPDATED Sept. 2025: Apparently, this hermit/wild man was in the Mattituck area for some time.  The second article is from the Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette of November 21, 1891, a full three years before the prior report.
