The federal government has some of the best and most experienced wildlife biologist, and we hear loads of information on endangered species such as the Spotted Owl, Black-footed Ferret, the Fresno Kangaroo rat, Point Arena Mountain Beaver, and the Riparian Brush Rabbit yet bigfoot remains unrecognized. California has 18 endangered species and other states have many more yet. Sasquatch has never been captured and hauled in to be classified as an endangered species so it has no endangered species protection. Why? Is it magical and disappears before it can be taken in and given the endangered species classification.

I've been listening to many of the podcast that are now related to Bigfoot, and many of them are just flesh and blood accounts, but now about half of them involved the woo factor.  I have been extremely lucky and had both types of experiences when I was younger and searched the outdoors for the creature. Now I'm 78 and struggling with a few health issues. My first encounter was definitely up close, flesh and blood and see my drawing listed under northwest encounters.  Another midnight distorted visual experience that happened way up the deserted Elk River in an Oregon primitive campground that started way after sundown with unreal bird calls moving instantaneously from a distant bush 200' away to a bush next to me. This happened in a matter of seconds that had a woo factor that I couldn’t explain.

This was the last straw so I really just stopped in my tracks and ceased wasting my time on studying Bigfoot for a year or two. Now I feel the urge to press on and to understand why the federal government refuses to acknowledge Sasquatch. Do they know bigfoot is found all over the national forest and they want to protect the timber industry since bigfoot may be classified as an endangered species. This would probably result in no logging protection zones through-out the national forest which would increase lumber prices and the cost building homes. Would this happen?

Personally I think that if they are indeed "keeping mum" on the topic, which at this point seems pretty dang likely, it goes well beyond just preserving the timber industry. In my view, sasquatch are one or more forms of pre-sapiens hominin, which would complicate disclosure considerably due to the ensuing demand for not only classification(a relatively minor aspect on the face of things) but legislation as well, including preserves vs free range(which would involve all sorts of regulatory aspects) the degree to which Human Rights apply(which could boil down to the (various)classifications and just how "close to really human" they are, no argument there, right?) Protective legislations, access laws (do we prohibit approaching them or allow distanced observation?) If they proved verbal as some claim, and then learn English that would further complicate things. One would think they could learn sign language. Of course if it turns out they are indeed telepathic, that's another whole kettle of fish. If we attempt to restrict they're motions are we then obliged to provide foods and other "supplies"

Presuming the account of bodies and injured specimens coming from the St Helens event is valid, then the government has had at least a few decades to carry out what would be detailed study and examination of both live and dead subjects. And depending on the level of their effective communication, if present at all, things could get rather complicated. Its possible the governmemt has been working up viable guidelines, regulations and laws to be put in place once disclosure occurs or can no longer be put off, or maybe theyre still trying to work out viable systematics for containment/management. Elements of this issue such as these get considerably more complex should say their ability to use portals prove out. It could also be the case that while aware of these creatures, they're at a loss as to what to do due to their nature, needs and abilities, and if the announce such a situation it will undermine the confidence of the public.

These are but a couple of potential scenarios where the government might be reluctant towards disclosure. There are countless others no doubt that get odder and less likely as more aspects/ things reported with sasquatch get integrated into the equation...
