Trogluddite Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I believe this occurred in South Dakota as the original encounter occurred on the Big Sioux [River]. Feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong. Interesting how early reports of wild men were written off as escaped lunatics or men who went mad in the wilderness.
