Washington before 1914 - Shoalwater Bay Mountain Devil - Tirademan!

Not sure if this is the same article which Tirademan found. This one is from the Washington Post and was published in 1914; however the author (letter writer) does not identify when he and Billy Newman saw the dead mountain Devil in Jawone's saloon in Ilwaco, Washington.  Be that as it may, this mountain devil sounds like a four-legged canine, not a two-legged ape.
