California 1869 - An Old Hunter's Story - roguefooter!

This news article sounded familiar.  It turns out that Forums member roguefooter posted it in The Bigfoot Forums in 2013.  Herewith is that story as published in the Leavenworth (KS) Daily Commercial on November 17, 1870.

 

Update January 2026: Note that the incident reported in this article occurred in the prior fall, which dates the encounter in 1869.
