California 1976 - Bigfoot Cleared of Kidnapping Charge (Hoax) - Tirademan!

The title for this post was an actual headline for an article that I saw, but did not clip.  The first story was published in the Kennebec (ME) Journal on May 27, 1976.  The second, in the Portland (ME) Evening Express on May 25, 1976.  The last story was published on August 19, 1976 in the Modesto (CA) Bee.

But wait, there's more!!  As published in the Ventura County (CA) Star on June 19, 1976, two of the people involved in this hoax were also illegally killing Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in Canada.  Well, at least they weren't smuggling cocaine.
