With respect to Tirademan and Gigantor, this is a different article than that published in Tirademan's archives.  The title of that post refers to Patterson coming to the Walla Walla area and the attached story goes into more detail about the track find, but doesn't mention Patterson that I can see.  This article was published in the Longview (WA) Daily News on September 29, 1966.  It sounds like Roger interviewed one of the miners from the Ape Canyon incident.
