Trogluddite Posted Friday at 12:25 PM Posted Friday at 12:25 PM (edited) Publication information is in the clipping. This Associated Press article is also on Bobbie Short's (RIP) Bigfoot Encounters website under "Hoaxes." Not because the driver or passengers were pulling a hoax, but because 3 people came forward claiming to have pulled off the hoax. It is hard to see how a bus driver - himself 6' 2" tall - would confuse the 5' 11" hoaxer who claimed to be wearing the suit for a 7-foot tall smelly ape. BC witness Posted Friday at 03:39 PM Posted Friday at 03:39 PM Local researchers MagniAesir and Thomas Steenburg have met at least one of the hoaxers involved, and have seen the suit on display. Definitely a hoax.
Trogluddite Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago BC witness, thank you. The only thing I questioned (based on the newspaper articles) was how a bunch of witnesses could confuse Ken Ticehurst, the 5-foot-11, 165-pound man who dressed up in the gorilla costume (as per one of the articles on Bigfoot Encounters) as a 7-foot tall, 300-pound Bigfoot. That being said, an on-the-scene investigations merits significant credit in such a situation.
