Trogluddite Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Published in the Pittsburgh (PA) Post-Gazette on December 21, 1919. Ryerson Station is now a 1,164-acre park in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania, near the West Virginia border. This report, in conjunction with some more I'll be posting soon, may be an example of "the halibut effect." This is discussed on the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization website and I'm sure its mentioned somewhere in the Forums as well. Essentially, man's impact on the environment (through logging or building, e.g.) can drive out wildlife but when the environment recovers (forests regrow, farms are abandoned), the wildlife that fits that environment returns.
