Here is the interesting part. The resort in question is located at Blue slide. And there is a active fire up the mountain by Calispel peak.

Did the fire drive it down into Ruby creek?

That is an excellent point. I have often wondered if there a record of increased activity evacuating from such awful circumstances.

  Thanks for sharing.

With all our fires, I wonder that, too.

Those are pretty neat photos. Whomever found them had a good eye. Most people would not notice.

It's interesting.  Animals DO evacuate from fire areas, even long distances.  I'm a little dubious about the nature of the write up though, then again, it's done by a resort that would use the BF/SQ phenomenon as a marketing tool.  You can tell it was written by someone who does PR "Could this finally be the definitive proof...." et al.  Either way, it's interesting.  Too bad Cliff B didn't check out and cast the tracks.

This is a Grizzly Bear in this neck of the woods. About as big as it gets here. This Griz was across the Pend Oreille River from Ruby creek.

I think the alleged Bigfoot tracks are wider. And they certainly have a bipedal long gait compared to the Griz. Threw my tape up on a cast I have at the house and it’s 7 inches wide. The other tell tale sign is that Bears toes are on a radius. Longest somewhere in the middle. Where as humans and Bigfoot have a big toe that arcs down to a pinky toe. The Ruby creek tracks look like a Bigfoot or Human toe structure to me. IMHO.
