This is an extract of a very long travelogue on the wonders of Guinea (like being trampled to death by stampeding peccaries as you sleep) published in the St. Louis (MO) Globe-Democrat January 15, 1893. (Okay, I went back and checked - one can only be bruised or wounded by stampeding peccaries.)
