Oregon 1900 - Wild Man Seen Near Falls City Fades Away

The first article, published in the Corvallis (OR) Gazette on May 25, 1900 expresses some skepticism that the wild man is simply a missing father-in-law. The second, published in the Salem (OR) Statesman Journal on May 27, 1900, suggests that the search has broadened considerably (or that there is more than one wild man).  The last article from the Albany (OR) Democrat on June 1, 1900 closes out the wild man of Polk County with little fanfare.
