Published in The Brooklyn (NY) Citizen on November 29, 1893.  The story of this wild man is also included in Bigfoot Encounters in New York and New England by Robert and Paul Bartholomew.  The book highlights the reasons why this wild man is unlikely to be a shipwrecked sailor, but omits key facts that are included which appear to clearly indicate that the authorities were dealing with a man.

********** Spoiler Alert - Sounds like a Man, not a Bigfoot**********

This is not the clipping which the Bartholomew brothers found; it would have disabused them of any beliefs as to this being a Bigfoot.  From The Evening World of New York (NY), also on November 29, 1893.  RW3.thumb.jpg.f581b6b01593718fe1e578706ef77d3b.jpg
