Trogluddite Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This story is identified in The Bigfoot Casebook Updated by Janet and Colin Bord; it is from the appendix of a book titled The Hermit of Siskiyou - or - Twice-Old Man, which can be found at https://archive.org/details/hermitsiskiyou00musicrich/mode/2up. This book was published in 1896 "to aid in the perpetuation of some of the quaint legends that have become in a degree historical" of the Siskiyou Range. It might be a great book for California history buffs, although its written like an epic poem - so be prepared. I've included both the poetical telling of the wild man and the note from the appendix.
