The first article is from The Midland (TX) Reporter-Telegram on April 12, 1957.  The second, from the The Odessa (TX) American on April 15, 1957; some newspapers reported the Soopa to be a bear, others, claimed that Soopa was the local word for abominable snowman.  Slick's return to Katmandu was reported by the St. Louis (MO) Post-Dispatch on April 18, 1957.
