Sitting here in 100o+ temps with a broken AC. The son can fix it, but the parts places do not open until Monday. Oh well, life is still good!

The bottom is about to drop out so that will cool things down a bit.

Getting a kick out of reading the stories about the foreigners who are here for the World Cup. I do not like soccer (putting it mildly), but their discoveries are indeed humorous and entertaining. From Buc-ee's to bar-b-que to the great beauty of the country to yes, AC, they are finding out about life here and how maybe some of the things they have heard about us are not quite true. And they are going back to their home countries with a new appreciation for our country. I still remember 50 years ago and thought that was a big deal. My, how time flies!!!!

I've got a flu, and I just got Mrs. Huntster out of the hospital on Thursday. It's cloudy/rainy, but I like that better than heat. Our 50th wedding anniversary is at the end of the month. No plans. Life dictates our actions day by day, but I'm loving our Alaskan summer!

Congrats on making it to 50, Mr & Mrs Huntster. Us long haulers seem to be a rarity these days, 62 years for my sweetie and I.

Happy Anniv. Mr and Mrs. Huntster!  I hope you are both feeling much better.    Heat index in TN, MS and AR has been 110-127 sometimes lately and IT is nasty.  (Climate change denialists look away, there is nothing to see here.)   But, yes, Happy Birthday, USA!  Our leaders are doing a lot of stupid things right now, but hopefully common sense will eventually prevail.  I have hope for the future because we have smart and wonderful kids who deserve much, much better and they will change things.  The recent BFF outage was unprecedented; thank-you Gigantor and whoever else helped to get it running again.  Semper Fidelis!

Spent time with family!  Best way to spend any time.  We felt your pain, VaFooter, as the eastern panhandle was just as hot and humid!
