Thanks everyone.  Good input.  This all gives me some things to think about.  

 

If nothing else, I would bet Bigfoot could greatly outpace the best human wilderness explorer be they Bear Grylls, Survivor man, or Grisly Adams.   So long as they can outpace a person, they are people safe from unwelcomed interaction with people.
