southernyahoo
"Bigfootology-mobile" ? I'm sorry, but am I the only one who finds that hilarious? No... you are not. I was reserving judgement and waiting on a photo of it. Is it a renovated Hearse or something? Edited October 31, 2013 by southernyahoo
Oonjerah
They also have the bigfootology signal, which commisioner Gordon lights up when he needs them to answer the bigfootology phone that they keep in the bigfootology cave. You don't know that, 'cause the Bigfootology Mind-bender will make you forget it.

Guest
Regarding "the bad film people". Well what can someone expect? To sell the documentary you have to at least give it some dramaturgy, they had to come up with a conclusion, not a bomb proof, but anything was fine. There goal "bigfoot files" was to make a statement about these cryptids. Without the positive DNA results, they cant just state, we failed to bring up anything new, although we promised it and now the show is over, goodnight! After all the producers might have believed in Sykes and Co. that something big is coming out of this study, without that they wouldnt have invested in the program to begin with. After nothing came out they just had to make something out of it otherwise it likley would have been their last film. Would it realy have been more entertaining to just end the show with, the mentioning of cow, dog etc. for the samples, and then say, see you next sunday on the same time with some more astonishing results? Come on, thats just not film making! Now people are talking about it on ends! And for Mullis it was luck to be cut out of this "crap". Otherwise he would now be the priest of liars and people with mental problems, as they implied. Sykes just had to go with Evans/producers conclusion, either that or support the "bigfooters", that would have been his end as serious scientist. Finally of those chosen donors who would have gone with their believes (except Olympic Project) and theories live on TV? Guest
Mullis had even more luck as I thought! Man is that hilarious! Sykes in the Bigfootology-Mobile - not so sure the producers demanded that on the editing rooms floor
Guest
I read Rhett's comments on FB too, about how the actual production filming occurred from his view, and wonder what Loren says as he was filmed as well and was not in that episode..although he could be used internationally...next episode. It is really odd that the BFRO did not have a sample..or did they? Last season they bragged about their hair, and finding testing..what happened to it? Did the Texas Wood Ape Group guys submit anything? I also think.. this is just a start, in that the results are dependant on the samples....and if only 11 represent all of NA BFers... why are there so many online with websites and images of physical samples....? EP.claimed to have gotten more hair after that debacle/fall out with MK about 2011..did they submit...? They haven't seemed on board with anything/anyone really....and "done with Bfing" per Adrian..and yet..he retains ownership of his footage and evidence (apparently even better...!?) and perhaps any hairs post Melba are also held tightly to his project..not another's..even Sykes? I suspect he is not done, really. I am kind of feeling like Sykes was thrown under the bus in some ways.... not much represented by the Big Names..such as Henner, who apparently did contribute to MK.....and so on.. something feels off...although.. I suspect we will get a positive result..just not for this show this month...schedules did not match with publishing did they? Guest
Finally of those chosen donors who would have gone with their believes (except Olympic Project) and theories live on TV? Not exactly following this statement..do you mean, why did they agree to have their results read? or, why did they agree at all? They only read a few to the submitters, and it was hard to watch! But, I really think they didn't look more foolish than those researchers on Finding Bigfoot, or many other programs..... except ICON tapped in on the humanity/brokenness of the pursuit..and that is real.... but, it can also be shown as a positive thing..the same passion that has brought us so many wonderful advances too..... Had their sample been positive, would we care they were so into the pursuit ? I am sure the producer's spin would have changed...to something more palatable. No proponent, while BFs remain unproven, looks "good/sane" on TV IMO....even our scientists..it's still crypto stuff Edited November 1, 2013 by apehuman
Guest
A Question, since i don't watch FB and some recent other docs... Did anyone from the FB cast, officially, or otherwise..twitters, websites, interviews, promote Syke's Study? Did they make a call for samples at town hall meetings? Or on the show, at lead ins, or trailers? Did Meldrum put anything up on his FB page, or at the RHI that also pointed newbees, or anyone, to the free testing that was offerred then...promote it? Get the word out...? I can't recall, but I know here, repeatedly, newcomers have mentioned finding hair (two in the Habituating thread) and no idea DNA testing was happening...I gave them the link and urged them to contact... one I think it was too late, the other..too new perhaps to bother..... So, I don't feel like it had the PR we could have produced., especially from some very visible characters (or maybe competitors?)....... Promoting this, now past friggin free opportunity with a world reknown geneticist, should have been a standing shout out and top priority on everyone's blog at the time...hindsight and wishful, I suppose.....!? Hard to say.. I went back to my site in 2012...for this purpose, with no luck.... so, I understand too....it's a tough problem to crack.... Guest
The more I think about it the more amazed I am. Doesn't BFRO have reps in every state, or close? Some states multiple? Don't they take the most recent sightings reports, and send people into the field routinely to investigate? For at least a decade? They certainly are the most visible BF group, whether TV or media, or Google Earth. Since getting on the web, starting expeditions, and FB on TV and those town halls, they have met so many witnesses...are they really as active as they appear/claim ...as a scientific group...? wow Matt Pruitt's blog, back a few years I used to follow..prior to his taking on expeditions..b/c he was involved in a type of habituation ...and we shared some views/experiences...same with several BFRO contacts I developed over time...just seemed to me to have already collected hair, etc...or on that path... I expected many more submissions, official in the name of the Finding Bigfoot show or BFRO. Stan and Bart both seem to have sent in samples, perhaps as BFRO reps.. Meldrum said he sent one on to Sykes that he received to screen. Not looking good for the many Big names who claim to research this is it?
